Got the running boards for my gen2 R1S. Thinking of installing by removing the panels. Any feedback if someone has faced any issues afterwards? I know the panels are plastic but any cause of concern with the fact that there is no longer any protection underneath, however flimsy it might be?

I don't think that is possible. My guide clearly stated that it is impossible for him to add it once the order has been placed. I also checked with my inbound delivery team and they said the same thing.

Good for you. I had a custom order as well that I was told was getting delayed to fall from an Aug-Sep timeframe. Mine had a dynamic roof and seems like all dynamic roof custom orders are getting delayed. That's the issue with all shop orders. Many cars match what I want minus just one thing...
