I have a 2023 R1S Quad. I have been in “snow mode” the past 2.5 years and it works great for around the town driving. Now I don’t switch to normal regen on long trips as there are so many more chargears. Snow is much smoother and comfortable and it stops fine. Just fyi….JB
I did the same trip back in 2024 and it worked great also. Super amazing scenery and the car did not break a sweat. I remember the jeep days where I had 3 pedals to work and now with just one…it was effortless.
I have a 2023 R1S with 30K miles on it with 20” Pirellis and there is plenty of tire wear left. If one does not accelerate and stop and go crazy fast, the tire does fine. I do take it off road also and not just use it for speed bumps in LA! )) The tire is great off road so If I do the R2, I will...
Congrats! I am in Socal also in Hermosa Beach with a 2023 R1S Quad. We go off roading several times a year but also use it for speed bumps in LA! ))) Needed a control computer in the first few months but has been great ever since. Even go hit by a deer at 65mph but all is working well after...
Not having a full size spare in an adventure off road vehicle? really? No apple car play which is a safety feature. fan directional guides only being electric on the panel. Otherwise, it has been a great vehicle and we do use it off road and not just for speed bumps in LA!! ))
We got hit by a deer in oregon last summer with $18,500 of damage. State Farm paid right away and we had a $500 deductible so it all worked out well. It is considered a no fault incident because no other car was involved so insurance did not go up.
When you use conserve mode, isn’t that wearing out the tires much sooner? The mode comes in handy sometimes but full time is bad for the front tires I believe. I use snow mode full time to have a smoother braking ride and I live in LA. It works great.
Took the R1S Quad to Moab as soon as we bought it and did several trails including the White Rim Trail and the car barely broke a sweat. Amazing performance. We did get a cut in the sidewall and had it replaced in Moab. Super fun!
