My technique is to switch to Sport mode as I approach my destination. That forces lowest ride height and takes care of it while still moving. No kneel needed when I hit Park.
Yes. I throw one of these in the back when loading up the Swingbase …

You are going to love your Rivian. I am on my second R1S ... the first one had the CCS charging port, and the new one has the NACS port. I routinely travel between Chicago and Traverse City, MI. The chargers get a little scarce once you are north of Grand Rapids, but do-able. I have been well...
I always give some kind of nod or wave ... and they are usually reciprocated when driving my R1S. Must admit, I get weird looks when I wave at Rivians and then realize that I am driving my non-Rivian car ...
My '26 R1S came with four tie down points in the rear cargo area instead of the cargo rails and adjustable tie‑downs. I liked that feature in my previous R1S, and the rail systems are available on ebay and other used car parts sites. I have not dug around under the carpet of my R1S yet, but am...
I am referring to the "opposite" adaptors, which are now required on 2026 Rivians. In order to use a CCS emitter (EA, RAN, etc.) I need to convert it to fit in the native NACS receptacle on my 2026 R1S. Looks like this:
Moved this over from another thread ... needs its own topic.
I had a Gen1 R1S (CCS port) and recently traded it in on a Gen2 R1S with native NACS. After two road trips in the new one, my experience is that the Gen1 CCS configuration worked better ... because the ADAPTER was better.

Question for Swingbase users ... I love mine, and use it quite a bit. I have the Top Shelf attachment, and usually load enough gear that I need to provide support to the swing arm when it is rotated out more than momentarily. I have found that the included jack stand isn't long enough to support...
All-Weather floor mats for Gen 1 Rivian R1S (2022-2024). Traded in my 2023 for a 2026 Gen 2 and, of course, they are slightly different. These are in fantastic shape and fit perfectly. I only had them in for a few snow-less winter months. Local pickup or meet-up in Chicago. (Shipping would be...
FYI the service center in Chicago (2033 West Walnut Street) should get much better in the next week or so. They will no longer be doing new vehicle deliveries at that location .. shifting to Buffalo Grove location. That should free up the side lot for more customer parking.
I had them on my Gen1 R1S. Worked great. Had them installed at Atrendz in Park Ridge ($500). Only downside was that the rear jack points were blocked by one of the 3 brackets. Can still jack it at alternate point per Rivian Towing Guid, just used a jack pad.
Their version for Gen2 vehicles...
I put Hansshow retractable running boards on my Gen 1 R1S a few months ago ... helps some of my family members get in/out of the car (sometimes the kneel is not enough). I am trading in on a Gen 2 R1S and these are not compatible. Retail for $2000 ... usually on sale for $1500.
