Rivian is no longer covering these under warranty even though itās a known design flaw. I just had mine replaced and I lost my argument with them about charging me for it.

MODULE - ECU; ADAS; ASM (Part# PT00000036-M)? If so, they should have previously replaced this proactively due toField Service Alert FSAM-1579.
This happens to me occasionally, maybe a couple times a year. Usually an infotainment reset does not resolve it but a full system reset does (hold left left steering wheel button + emergency blinker button)..
I'd love to be proven wrong, but all authoritative information from actual Rivian sources (and not clickbait news sites) has indicated that Rivian is not implementing CarKey with NFC in any way and will not be bringing the feature to Gen1.
This is incorrect. Rivian has chosen to only implement the UWB variant of Apple CarKey in the upcoming release and not the more common NFC implementation. This choice gatekeeps the CarKey functionality to only newer Gen2 models which have the UWB hardware.
