  1. R1T Tailgate Trim Replacement

Rivian is no longer covering these under warranty even though it’s a known design flaw. I just had mine replaced and I lost my argument with them about charging me for it.
  2. Catalina Cove R2 (VIN #36) spotted

What? The Rubicon is in the Sierra Nevada, nowhere near the Rockies.
  3. We Built Our First Camp Kitchen in a Basement. Three Years Later, We're Saying Thank You. - Thunderbolt Adventure

Do you offer any discount for independent Rivian clubs (in my case, Emerald City Rivian Club- one of the largest in the US)? Our members voted not to align with Rivian Clubs of America and to keep our club inclusive and dues-free.
  4. We Built Our First Camp Kitchen in a Basement. Three Years Later, We're Saying Thank You. - Thunderbolt Adventure

Has anyone purchased and have firsthand experience with the Thunderbolt Field Kitchen? I’ve found some reviews for the slide out kitchen but I haven’t been able to find anyone who has purchased the freestanding Field Kitchen. It looks good on paper at least.
  5. R3 range Estimates

300 miles is table stakes for new EV launches at this point.
  6. Camp speaker - problems and questions

I heeded advice I read elsewhere on here to permanently demote the speaker to garage duty and replace it with the storage drawer and it was the biggest upgrade the speaker has seen. Works great plugged in to a USB brick in the garage and sounds nice. The storage drawer is more useful than I...
  7. Ohmmu Announces BT19 Sodium 12V Batteries for Rivians: Thoughts?

Their website is devoid of any actual technical specifications for their Sodium batteries. I’d approach their claims skeptically, they don’t have the best track record for being trustworthy.
  8. Will the R2 have a lithium 12v battery (re: R1 12v failures)

This 100%. No currently-shipping lithium battery chemistry has low-temperature performance that is compatible with an Adventure Vehicle, and the ā€œuse the HV battery to heat the 12V batteryā€ is overly-complex, risky, wasteful, and just dumb. The sodium batteries starting to appear on the market...
  9. Rivian Overland Build Walkthrough

Was the module that need replaced MODULE - ECU; ADAS; ASM (Part# PT00000036-M)? If so, they should have previously replaced this proactively due toField Service Alert FSAM-1579.
  10. GPS position incorrect

This happens to me occasionally, maybe a couple times a year. Usually an infotainment reset does not resolve it but a full system reset does (hold left left steering wheel button + emergency blinker button)..
  11. Using Phone as NFC Key (like card)

I'd love to be proven wrong, but all authoritative information from actual Rivian sources (and not clickbait news sites) has indicated that Rivian is not implementing CarKey with NFC in any way and will not be bringing the feature to Gen1.
  12. Using Phone as NFC Key (like card)

This is incorrect. Rivian has chosen to only implement the UWB variant of Apple CarKey in the upcoming release and not the more common NFC implementation. This choice gatekeeps the CarKey functionality to only newer Gen2 models which have the UWB hardware. Rivian has not communicated any...
  13. Former RTT owner switched to modified tent trailer (Sylvan GO Pop-Up Camper)

Did you ever get a chance to make note of updated efficiency numbers after your all-terrain upgrades? How are you liking it paired with the Rivian?
