I'm the only driver on my truck, and my workaround had been to press the Gear Tunnel button which wakes the truck and doesn't actually open the door.
That said, even with proximity features off at home, the truck is still definitely waking occasionally based on phone proximity because I'll go...
One of my biggest complaints. Cars with this going back to 2002 never needed calibration. Also, leaving car unlocked at home means that every single day when opening the door wakes the vehicle, the memory settings just flat do not apply. Nothing happens until I get out, close the door, then open...
I've been wondering too what happens if it starts raining. Can it use the rain sensor to close? If it opens on its own, I won't know I need to close the windows.
Did a reboot and have new error:
Then I went and found this:
Pretty sure that's titled incorrectly, since that driver camera is disabled or flat not present in Gen1 vehicles. Plus why would sharing location make one bit of difference? Don't know if that fixed it because you have to be in...
Then don't listen to FM? You're really blaming this on Rivian? Sounds like you don't want any audio track info on that screen, which fine, but that's a different ask.
Having a clean UI is easy when you don't have nearly as many features. I just rented a Tesla, and while there's a lot going on, you only need to find most of that stuff once in a while.
Dropping my two cents... Just rented a Tesla, with FSD, and holy crap, the software is good. Not even talking about the FSD part, which was incredible (Houston to San Antonio and back with nothing more than speed adjustments), but the overall design, function, and reliability of functions makes...
Does it happen most when leaving home? Do you have your truck set to stay unlocked at home? If so, hit the Gear Tunnel button once and wait like 3 seconds before opening the door. This wakes the truck up and gets your profile loaded before you open the door. Sounds stupid, and it is very very...
A motor pushes the handles out, but when that motor reverts, it doesn't pull the handles in; a spring does that. A fairly week spring. Just to say there should be nearly zero danger of actual harm from this. If you go push your thumb into the front of the handles, you'll pop the handle out...
Just to add to this, the truck appeared to be waiting for charge at 10:59PM, At 11PM, the charger offered charging but then the truck indicated the charging was stopped by the vehicle. See the screenshot in attachment. If I hit charge now, it goes fine.
