  1. Reflective paint for tonneau cover?

Given how fickle the PTC is, I would be very hesitant to make any modifications to it, no matter how benign they may seem. I agree that just venting it an inch or 2 makes much more sense.
  2. Service Advisor offers Lemon Law?

There's a big difference between buyback and lemon law, even if processed by the same team. Lemon law claims are filed by the customer (or their lawyer) against the manufacturer when very specific requirements are met, and for which a proactive buyback or other agreeable solution cannot be...
  3. Best Deals in Gear Shop?

There aren't really any "deals" in the Gear Shop. Items range from somewhere between Overpriced and Asinine. The best value is whatever you might actually use or need. Touch up paint is a good idea. Maybe the sunshades if you live in a warm climate. Otherwise, buy something you can resell...
  4. Denver Service Center - Poor Experience

Sorry to hear that. I’ve never had anything but exceptional service and super friendly advisors at the Denver SC.
  5. Rivian Care vs other options

Email [email protected] with your vehicle details. They should get back to you i. A couple of business days.
  6. Post-Warranty Strategy ~300 Miles from a Service Center

Rivian Care provides up to $200 for towing reimbursement. I believe xcare is $250. Maybe look into Good Sam. I think their towing distance is technically unlimited, but you’d need to read the fine print on their definition of closest repair facility.
  7. Launch Green is metallic?

There's definitely some metallic flakes in it. I'd say it's a happy medium partway between a true metallic paint and a flat paint color. Whatever it is, it's gorgeous.
  8. Front suspension fail

All Gen 1 Quads are 5/60. No Rivian vehicles are 3/36.
  9. Rivian Care expands to 48 States, including California in October

Did you get a personalized link to follow from the Rivian Insurance team? You need that in order to request a quote. If you haven't, just email them at [email protected] and they'll get back to you.
  10. XCare Extended Warranty on Rivian: My Full Claim Experience (And Outcome)

Anyone can post with any alias they choose on a forum. Could it be the CEO? Sure. Could it be some dude name Mitch living in his mom’s basement? Yep. No way in hell a forum post stands up against a signed document in contract law. There’s a reason they’re not updating the contract language...
  11. Xcare vs RivianCare (Now available in 48 States)

It's in the Limitation of Liabilities section. Either in the same paragraph or just below where it talks about limiting total coverage to the JD Power trade-in value. Maybe around page 3 or 4.
  12. Xcare vs RivianCare (Now available in 48 States)

I thought so, but I just re-read the Xcare contract, and it is also limited to a single repair of any component. I updated my post above.
  13. Xcare vs RivianCare (Now available in 48 States)

it’s explicit in both contracts that a part is only covered for one repair only. Rivian Care: “This Service Contract is limited to the repair of each covered part one time only.” XCare: "Once a component has been repaired or replaced, there is no further Coverage for that component."
  14. Xcare vs RivianCare (Now available in 48 States)

Your quotes are so high, that I'd personally "self-insure", and hope that my repair totals are less than you were quoted. But that's just me. I did a LOT of research on both of the warranty options - I even ran both contracts through chatgpt for analysis, and decided on Rivian Care in the end...
  15. Xcare vs RivianCare (Now available in 48 States)

Because it's like sharing what I pay for insurance. There are so many variables (length of factory warranty remaining, existing mileage, annual miles driven, amount of deductible selected, etc.) that my price has no correlation to what somebody else is likely to pay...which is basically what I...
