The Rivian kit is ridiculously overpriced. The Smittybilt Premium Winch Accessory Kit is 1/3 the price. I've had one for years and it's never let me down.

I've had of these in my gen 1 R1S since October, 2023 and It's held up flawlessly. It's one of the best aftermarket purchases I've made for my truck.

It's not laggy on Gen 1.

So far I've only tested in my apartment parking garage (which doesn't have WiFi) with two bars of LTE, and I haven't seen a delay more than two seconds.

Absofreakinlutely. I just installed 2026.15.0 on my 2023 Gen 1 R1S and I'm so happy that I can send text messages now - and include my ETA in a message - without taking my eyes off the road.

I'm hopeful that messaging to group texts will be supported in the future.
