  1. 2027 R1T

Our 2023 R1S was built in November 2023, and we bought it new (10 miles) in February 2024. I have no way of knowing when it left Normal, but I presume it was shipped directly from Normal to Portland.. Perhaps @CharonPDX meant "built in 2023" rather than "shipped in 2023." Tough crowd, huh...
  2. Hit n run… fix or total??

State Farm here, continuously since 1990 (if not earlier). My experience with claims has been excellent. Here's the one time I had to advocate for myself: In 2007, our new Toyota Sienna was stolen from our driveway. When it hadn't turned up in a month, the State Farm adjuster said she would...
  3. Nav system doesnt know my 2026 R1T has a NACS charge port?

RAN stations, including Happy Valley OR, are starting to alter the ratio of CCS-1 to J-3400 (NACS) ports, to reflect expected demand. Sorry you didn't benefit from the same at Spokane Valley! EDIT: As of 2026-06-02, the RAN at Astoria, Oregon has only CCS-1 ports -- no J-3400s yet. So it...
  4. Wassym Bensaid DECODER interview: AI Rivian Assistant, Apple CarPlay, VW Joint Venture

That's correct, @SwampNut. I don't use it. Happier that way. Best wishes!
  5. Wassym Bensaid DECODER interview: AI Rivian Assistant, Apple CarPlay, VW Joint Venture

Our 2019 and 2023 Bolts also had CarPlay that took over the whole screen. Drove me nuts. Based on this experience, I'm happier without CarPlay. "Different strokes for different folks...." Best wishes!
  6. EPA Range Finalized / Published (R2 Performance)

We usually pick hotels with reliable chargers, using PlugShare to identify which they are. We always tell hotel staff that the reliability of their charger played a BIG role in our choice to stay there. The market works, if we insist on reliable chargers and if we tell people that's what we're...
  7. Frunk Lid Gone Crazy

I don't know what could explain that, @moosetags! I hope you get it fixed safely real soon!
  8. Service Center Kinda Sucks?

Glad we have Portland Service Center. The Portland team does everything in their power to make it right. Sorry your experience wasn't as good, @Eric_partman and @MATTELSEWHERE!
  9. Special Color Releases Like Sneaker Drops!?

My impression is that used Compass Yellow R1's are now selling at maybe a $3K-5K premium, relative to muted colors. There's definitely a market for bright colors.... Us included. Best wishes!
  10. Mystery Bumper Wires!

It turns out that in healthcare, AI gets high marks for empathy, which we think of as a human characteristic. For accuracy, AI has a long way to go. But to fake the appearance of empathy, it's already there. As of 2026, AI agents seem to have leapfrogged the "Turing Test." The First Law of...
  11. Ferrari Luce?????

I've never been a Ferrari fan, and we certainly don't have a Ferrari budget, but I think the Ferrari Luce looks great! Current Ferrari fans mostly think otherwise, at least initially, but note this thoughtful analysis by Fred Lambert...
  12. Service needed how should I go about it

Now that you have an appointment, @Divus, you should be able to message the Service Center through the app. From the main screen, go to the bottom. There should now be a red dot by the wrench icon. Click the wrench icon, and the Rivian Service screen should show your appointment. Click the...
  13. Excessive battery drain during transit

Jostling in transit, resulting in the vehicle staying awake for most of the trip??? I'd love to see others' hypotheses! *** Did you put it in "shipping mode"? I think "shipping mode" minimizes drain, but doesn't eliminate it completely. Best wishes!
  14. R2 Jack Point Design - Potential Issues / Challenges

I think I'm the one who implied that Rivian should have enlisted @Mark_AZR1T as a key external adviser, but apparently didn't. That wasn't @Mark_AZR1T, it was I: @jeeden made an error about who posted, or copied, this or something like it on Reddit: I think @Mark_AZR1T erred in describing...
