I have Hankook iONs on my Tesla Model 3. I've been pretty happy with them, but they haven't worn nearly as well as I had hoped.
Tesla will tell you when there is a difference between the front and rear tread wear. Normally I don't see it or maybe just before I need to rotate. With my Hankooks...
Finally got Gen 1 launch mode, so pretty happy. Like the ability to have std ride height in sport mode. The kneeling function for the quick access menu is nice too. This is my 2nd most favorite release since they did that suspension update last year.
Thank you, Rivian!
I have an S Plaid, 1st Gen 3 long range, 2nd Gen 3 performance and my R1T. I had a modely Y and hated it. Couldn't really stand the X either. Too much of a guppy looking CUV.
The 3/Y won't replace the S/X. At this point I'll never sell my Plaid. It has real range even rolling on wide, sticky...
No regen is the only answer here. Trying to nudge the accelerator just enough to overcome regen in a very stressful environment is not the answer. Disabling the culprit for the issue IS!
In a former life I flew a crop duster. The last thing I wanted was anything adding to my workload...
That still may not be enough.
They need a disable regen completely option. Even in Dallas I was dealing with it this past week. Watched as my truck ever so slowly was sliding down into a pole and trying to touch the throttle just enough to take off the damn regen.
Combine that with the brake...
Yes, an Urus isn't a slow vehicle to be sure. I did let my son drive my R1T and I ran him with my Plaid. That was a massacre. I even gave him the hit. Off the line is where it matches the best against the Plaid.
Where it becomes painful for the Rivian is at higher speeds. The Plaid will go...
Speed limiter is raised to 130 in launch mode.
It does make a Gen 2 Tri quicker to 60 than running it in sport mode so someting in going on behind the scenes. Which I hope will apply to Gen 1. Basicaly running a Gen2 Tri in sport, but NOT launch, makes it about as quick as a Gen 1 Quad in sport...
Had an interesting little encounter today in Mexico. It was a pretty cold day and my batter was only about 57F and my SoC was 59%. Got to make a couple roll runs against a Lambo Urus. First time was from about 30 mph, I was in Sport mode, he went WFO first and I pretty easily walked him down...
The more they do these things, the more likely this will be my last Rivian. No chance I will buy a new Quad at this rate. We'll see EOY, slip into Q1 2026. Still waiting for launch mode.
Between not offering Gen 1 launch mode and the overall poor service I've received, it has definitely soured...
That is a shame. Even though I bought an Autofit Pro one on the group buy, I still liked this one.
You could always consider the Autofit Pro one. I was one of the first to get one and, it has been awesome. Maybe not the efficiency gains of the Wakeshield one. I am doing about 1-2% better...
Could be pretty good. Depends on where you live, is it really hot or cold. How fast do you drive on the highway, etc. Here in TX it is hot and I run the AC all the time and drivers go fast when they can. such as normal cruise if not heavy traffic is 75-85.
Context always matters in these things.
