This has worked very well, but the linear bearings have been a disappointment. They just can't handle much weight. I want to replace them with a heavy duty drawer slide, but I haven't had a chance yet. I don't really have a parts list yet, just experimenting at this point.

Yes, it only comes out to the end of the bed. That works good for my situation. If you wanted it to come out more or handle more weight I would opt for a heavy duty drawer slide instead of the linear bearings.
