I had the Silverado EV for a week or two while my Rivian R1S was having body work done. I loved the larger battery and felt the suspension was _substantially_ smoother. Looks-wise, I prefer Rivian hands-down. But suspension-wise I prefer Silverado hands-down. (I disliked the ICE style accel but...
In that case Im stumped. It does work for me... Ill poke around and try to see whats up. If you can have Claude help you debug it that'd be even easier. (Its very very hard to guess what could be all the issues on a remote system. Or put differently, Ive already made my best guesses.)
Yes you can stream to your R1 via chromecast. This requires an HTTPS host. And even then I found plex (and basically all apps) to be unstable. So thats why I wrote https://github.com/jvdillon/netv. Since I manage the transcoding I could dial it in for R1 casting.
Now that Ive done this project...
Adding this as a followup post: one thing I (think I) learned from testing this is that Rivian player does not like >1080p for casting. If youre having trouble with other apps, try lowering the res/code rate.
Hi friends. I got sick of fighting with Emby/Jellyfish/etc for casting IPTV to Rivian so I made my own. I've been test driving it for a while and 90% of the quirks seem to be ironed out. For me it has worked *much* better than Disney, HBOMax, Hulu, etc.
