It's found in a bunch of vehicles and looks like this:
Smart space saving decision tho it does come at the cost of some inconvenience if the need for the spare arises. Worth it IMO.
Same here. I would love to see a Bestop Supertop or safari style top of some sort. It wouldn't be the prettiest thing on the R1T but it'd add a lot of use than just an open bed or tonneau cover for me.
The access doors of the gear tunnel are opened by buttons on the front corners of the bed rails. Should just be a release latch (not powered) but since it activates the tunnel lights it does draw from the battery. I assume locking the vehicle locks this as well. You can see it being opened here.
Once it gets muddied up for the first time I won't hesitate. Probably not extreme off roading but would love to take it on some trails and even light overlanding keeping range in mind.
Well done. It says ride sharing but I assume it’s not referring to models like Uber or even rental companies for consumer use. I think commercial use makes sense and it would go well with Rivian’s ideas for self driving tours that an adventure type company could use for different types of...
Wow those pics of the interior look like a pure tech start up.
Also I predict the 20-25k vehicles over the first few years will be well under demand once these puppies get into the hands of the public and people see them around. Wonder if this is more due to production constraints and wanting...
Good find! Based on this I'm thinking there could be multiple launch editions. Looking at the font and layout. Just a guess but "RIV LAUNCH EDITION" on top then the actual name of the edition. It would stand to reason that the R1T would have one too but I'm hoping for multiple "editions"....
The 3rd row I believe folds completely flat to line up with the trunk floor? Also the 180 kWh version is listed as sitting 5 passengers, not 7. They must have had to use that space for additional battery modules. It'd be cool if the seats could be completely removed for more cargo space or to...
I actually like it. It's clean, masculine and has a futuristic look to it. It's also distinctly recognizable. I can see how the design might be polarizing though.
Here are some more in case you haven't seen it.

1. Dual LiDAR and front-facing cameras for semi-autonomous driving

I could have sworn Rivian confirmed 400 mile range with the 185khw pack. Besides, the R1S is said to get 410 miles at the top level. Seeing as how this auxiliary battery may not even be available for the R1S unless they come up with a different design, I'm going to guess the battery module...
