So let me get this straight. Rivian proactively replaced your battery before it failed (good). They didn't do it properly and didn't check their work, which actually caused the failure they were trying to avoid (bad). Then, while your car is limited to 15MPH, which is an undrivable condition...
For sure. I'll be going from one of the least reliable vehicles to one of the most. I know I've shit on Toyota in here many times, but the fun of high performance comes with the frustration of low reliability, and I'm willing to take a few steps back off the cutting edge in exchange for...
I mean the engines. The majority of the engines recalled are for the Tundra, and those are made in Alabama. You are correct, the GX is made in Japan, but they have a different manufacturing process, I guess, that's less likely to cause the debris issue. The V6 is supposed to make more power...
From what I've seen, the ones in Japan are good and have the updated bearing. Honestly, though, I don't want anything else that's out, and even if I do need a new engine, it's still going to be less than what I've gone through with my R1S so far. I have a Lexus dealer about 30 min from my...
Mine does this constantly. I default to my wife all the time, even though I'm the primary on the car. On her car, we both have a FOB, but it can differentiate between who goes in what door. The Rivian gets it wrong so often it almost feels like it's on purpose.
I've had invoices list an amount, but they didn't charge me. Rivian has been doing that since I became an owner in 2022. I think their system spits out prices automatically.
I live 300 miles from a service center, and I have a bunch of little problems with my R1S. I'm probably trading mine in. I wouldn't own a Rivian if I lived that far away from a service center.
I'm betting Ferrari made this lousy on purpose. Just like how Stellantis does it, they make a terrible EV then point to the fact that no one wants it as proof that no one likes EVs and they are justified doing what they are doing keeping ICE.
To my eye, it doesn't look like you're responsible for this one. From what I can make out, it looks like this crack is on the inside edge of the glass, not the outside. That edge is protected by the headliner.
None of these is a luxury car. Even the R1s are missing some basic features of luxury cars. Rivian calls them adventure vehicles. I have an R1S and have seen the R2 in person, and my impression is that the R2 is a smaller version of the R1, not a lower-quality version.
The Ascend interior...
