I'm, in Vancouver where it s rains a lot and yes, this has been happening a lot after one of the later software updates. Definitely feels like the parking brake sticking, but also feels like they may have applied the normal brakes too in addition tot he parking brake to prevent slideaways.

Normal fan noise? Rivian suggests this is normal. 2024 Gen 1 R1T. Hard to believe, but they say it is. I obviously don’t believe them, hence posting here.

Honestly our Model X does the exact same. You should hear it when we are towing up a hill…but in that case the fans are so loud you can’t hear the pumps/compressor anymore. EV’s have to cool the pack, the motors and the cabin…and those glass roofs add a lot of heat gain to the cabin. They should...
