I should make a post about my adventure, but over the last week I moved from Tucson, AZ to Arlington, VA in my T. Did it in about 6 days, including two days in Austin and two nights in Nashville. Stopped at a bajillion Tesla Superchargers, as well as a slew of Rivian/EVGo/EA chargers. Rarely had...
Two weeks before I’m set to move from AZ to VA, my OG tonneau cover bit the dust… I’ve normally been good at PTFE’ing the rails and slats, but I guess it’s been a dusty summer and it’s been a while since I did it. Now, I’m hastily calling Rivian to see about getting the slats patched (i.e...
Same issue here! Glad I’m not the only one and came to the forum searching for “disappeared”. Hard restart worked… for like a day. I was about to include it in my appointment tomorrow for (what I thought would be related) borked ADAS system. Looks like a software glitch from the recent update...
They called me back and moved it up to 9/13. Getting closer to this Friday which would be more ideal, but I get it, they’re backed up. But yeah, leaving them with my truck and keeping the loaner would’ve made a lot more sense…
Just got off the phone with the Rivian support number folks. I told them about my issue and how it was left in this state by the Phoenix service center, where I cannot comfortably complete any trips I had planned. He had my try a "sleep cycle" (turn off bluetooth, motion gear guard, etc. for 30...
That's my plan today after the long weekend. It really does suck, since it's one of those unsung hero's of vehicles these days, especially when driving on AZ highways with idiots zooming by at 120+ all the time.
Ahh, good idea. I don't tow very often, so I've only been in tow mode when I plug in the brake light connector. I'll try to get 'er in tow mode to test basic CC today.
But yeah, it was bent, not broken! ? The moment it happened, I knew some metal moved around... When I went to look, it seemed...
While very frustrating and annoying indeed, the upside is I’m seeing what it’s like to log hundreds of miles in “manual driving” mode… not going to lie, I like being driven around on the highway, although it is kind of nice to experience driving again ?
Back in late May, I submitted a SC appointment to have the axles greased due to the infamous tock noise. My appointment was made for 8/19 in Phoenix, the earliest available.
Fast forward from May to late July, I accidentally bent the front right tie rod during a desert excursion. Woops. They...
I too have this issue after the update. For a second wondered if it was something to enable or disable in settings now, but couldn’t find out. I use it all the time too ?
I was definitely sweating bullets towards the end… when I left Tucson, Rivian nav on my phone suggested I’d arrive with 62 miles. When I arrived with 28 miles, it was like Kevin Costner seeing land for the first time in WaterWorld ?
That’s awesome! If we were near Rocky Point, I’d continue using that same route via Ajo like you described. Unfortunately (or fortunately if you like being in the middle of nowhere), it’s a risk driving the extra 68 miles down MX-3 to “15 de Septiembre” including west from there for 9ish miles...
Ahhh yes yes, that random little “stop sign” by the Red Cross donation. I keep it at 40 km/h until the highway picks up about a mile and a half later. Then it’s flat out if I have plenty of range. In my previous fast ICE car era, that was a flat out 150+ mph cruise-control highway.
Hah! Yeah I make it a point to double check I’m leaving my EDC at home before setting off…
We go through Lukeville/Sonoita, which is WAY faster than Noggie. The wait time yesterday was 1 car in front of me… maybe 75 seconds? Nogales can be a real shit show sometimes.
