Not aware of any "early day stability issues." There was a hardware fix released after a Rivian update reduced voltage on the switched lead, if that's what you're referring to....but only a small handful of earlier devices were affected.

EV Play has a 3.5mm TRRS jack capable of mono audio-in; otherwise you could do stereo audio-in over USB.

Yes, Auto-Mate still sends the clicks and swipes even if you're on the EV Play screen. The only issue is you would need to get a GPS working with EV Play. Or, I'm releasing a small device with physical keys on it that will run automations.

All seem doable! For sleeping in the back, your phone could act as a "remote" to control the front screen features - including lighting.

It would be a similar dilemma - how would the device know which phone to prioritize? However, there is a feature that allows you to run an automation based on distance to the remote. Meaning, whoever gets closest to the device first, wins. Granted, if you both get into the vehicle at the same...

Me luv cookies too! I could certainly implement weather-based automations when you entered the vehicle, however, they couldn't be run ahead of time -- meaning when the vehicle is locked/sleeping as the USB-C ports power down and the screen gives way to gear guard.
