  1. Insulate Your Glass Roof - Improve Comfort, Efficiency

    Don’t forget this option! https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/painting-the-panoramic-glass-for-heat-reduction.12211/
  2. Check your rear lightbars...

Threads like this are why I love this forum and this community! Educational PSAs and shared experiences along with the entertaining posts are always a good read! I mean, it sucks that it happened, but I love when people can keep a sense of humor about the unexpected stuff haha.
  3. 120V Inverter Teardown

Old thread, but I just saw this. Great write up! Really appreciate and respect the DIY curiosity! That’s a serious multimeter too. ??
  4. Tested 35" tires on the R1T - for offroading / overlanding

All four tires are connected to the pump at the same time. It’s one airline with four chucks spaced along it. The airline then plugs into the air output in the bed of the truck, or a separate pump like @RivianRunner has. Since they’re all connected together by the air hose, the psi of all...
  5. Is there a Rivian wave/signal thing when we see each other on the road?

I used to open and close the frunk at stop lights if there was another R1 waiting at the light. Then I did it while driving once… I just wave with my hand now since I don’t have a frunk anymore. ?
  6. G1 R1S Quad w / 22" on Low Regen Road Trip

I have noticed the improvement using low regen on the freeways as well. As long as the roads are open enough that flow of traffic remains constant. Higher regen works great for traffic/windy road/city driving or going down large hills instead of just using your brakes. I think since you...
  7. Hauling lumber with R1T?

I hauled 2 16’ 2x10s and just used ratchet straps up to the rear rail tie downs. I also went back inside and bought a 27 gallon tote to set on the end in the bed and strapped that down to the lower anchor points in the bed to hold that end down. I had another strap wrapped around that end under...
  8. What Are You Hauling (or Hauled) in your Rivian? 🦾

  9. Be honest . . . Who bought another R1 because the lease deal is too good to pass on (or wishes they did)

I’ve never leased a car and only heard and read conflicting arguments about it. When is it a good idea for someone to lease vs buy and trade-in down the road? One of my buddies said he likes to lease because he figures he’ll always have a car payment and he likes having a new car every 2-3...
  10. R3 & R3X hands-on / driving video, photos, impressions (by Jason Camissa)

Maybe she would look more excited if she was driving the R3X ?
  11. Very glad Rivian isn’t playing stupid games like Tesla here

Never underestimate the number of fanboys out there ready to buy anything with that sharp T on it! Now when are my R2 and R3X going to be here?!
  12. Rivian crushed by tree in California storm

That roof glass is really fragile! ? But seriously though.. sucks to see that happen to a rare discontinued color.
  13. Stranded After Charging - Towed and Repaired

Can’t offer you an answer to your question, but I would like to applaud you for what seems like a good deal of patience and understanding in that situation. These vehicles are crazy complex and they can be finicky at times. Your issue popped up in the middle of the night and a long way from...
  14. Anyone using Rivian (unofficial) integration with Home Assistant?

Very cool to see folks accessing info like this! Quick question.. How do I save something on my computer as a PDF?
  15. Portable winch option

Old thread but… It is possible for a 2200lb winch to free a R1T? Absolutely! Is it worth the time and effort? Probably not. Mechanical advantage is a remarkable thing so technically you could even pull one out by hand given enough ropes and pulleys! But like @Sgt Beavis, @R.I.P. and @zefram47...
