Have the same issues when playing music over bluetooth (via YouTube Music on an iPhone 15). 2 is soft and 3 is too loud. Want to add 10x the number of levels so I'm playing between 20 and 30. Called Rivian's service line and the person asked me to "reduce volume level on the phone". Not sure how...
Hi everyone, the front console box has only 2 usb-c ports and I have an external HDD plugged into one of them. The inductive charger just doesn't work with my iphones (14pro and 12 mini) and now I need 2 charging cables (usb-c and lightning). Most hubs I see on amazon say they're not for...
That's a good point. It looks like there's 3 kinds of supercharger sites now:
1) Superchargers that are not open to NACS
2) Superchargers that are open to NACS
3) Superchargers with a magic dock
It seems like > 60% of the chargers in are (1). I'm hoping this is simply a software issue and over...
I could not get it to work. But it did not seem worth it as those chargers all throttle down to a low speed after 10 minutes or so. My take away was to use electrify canada on the road and something like BC Hydro 50kw chargers as a destination charger while I got breakfast/dinner/beers.
To each their own I guess. I love driving, so 12 hours of actual driving in a single day is quite enjoyable to me. No music required. Maybe I should be a truck driver.
My drives were straight-shot, so didn't get to use cheaper destination chargers. About $75 of the charging was in SLC.
Yeah, upgrading in a few years probably makes much more sense.
Exiting from the freeway, connecting, paying and getting back seemed to add 10 minutes on average for each charging stop. Given some probability of bad/busy chargers one 40 minute session seemed better to me over two 15 minute sessions.
If there were 5x more fast-chargers on the road my...
Drove from Seattle to SLC and back for a ski trip. Drove in conserve mode for 3/4 of the trip and used all-purpose/snow for 1/4 of the trip while going through mountain passes/snow. Total fast charging costs ended up being about $450 ($400 of it at EA with member rates).
1) The car drove like a...
Have the Rivian wall-charger wired at home with a 60 amp breaker (was done as part of a reno, so was inspected by the city as well). I was traveling and this was a one-off.
All of this makes sense. It was a temporary location I was passing through (not my home) and I needed a little charge to get going. I now know how to limit amps from the car so I'll charge safely from here on.
Also noted that I'll buy a tesla portable charger with the right adapters to be even...
Thank you for all the comments. I finally called in to the Rivian customer support line and the charging team was quite helpful and helped me resolve the issue.
1. As Michael mentioned above, the charger looks for ground. The adapter I bought had a ground wire and I plugged it into another...
- This is temporary (for a couple nights)
- There's a 40amp breaker on this circuit. It has not tripped. The charger lights up and the dryer works when I plug that in
- None of the other amp settings works, tried 16 and 24 as well
- The charger works when I plug into a regular 110v outlet
- I...
