For anyone really interested in the seat design Sandy Monroe has a complete seat teardown video on YouTube from like 2022 and around the 22 minute mark it shows the fan assembly and how the ventilation works.. just look up Rivian R1T seat it's easy to find. ?
I could totally be wrong, but from a teardown I saw a while back it looked like the seats draw air up from the underside of themselves. But there was no AC duct work delivering air directly to the seats.
There's AC vents on the floor facing the rear which I'm sure while running assist cooling...

I agree it would seem like that would be the case, but Wireshark should have seen traffic from that devices if it sent any network packets.
I tried a few tools to scan for tcp or udp traffic and didn't see the truck talking at all.
Now it could just be very quiet and basically only listening...
I can say I have connected the cable to my laptop and ran a Wireshark and could not see the Rivian requesting or sending data. I can say that it does establish a network link.
I also tried placing a router in the vehicle to act as a quick and dirty DHCP server and the truck didn't request any...
Yeah I haven't heard back from anyone in a couple days and my truck is scheduled to go in but no availability until middle of next month, very frustrating...
I found that it comes back as soon as you place the vehicle in gear unfortunately.
Restarts don't help.. hopefully we'll hear something positive back soon.
