I just had this very problem occur last night with my wife's '24 Lexus hybrid. All doors locked. Battery dead. No response from any attempt to open.
The key fob has a 'mechannical key' tucked inside but I thought it was not doing anything as there was not electric sound when I turned it. The...
I do not see why anyone would be happy with the current lane assist on the R1. I found that it was much better on my 2016 Acura although it did not stay in effect very long before indicating that the driver needed to take control.
With my Rivian, I find that the lane assist allows it to...
I have had similar problems. Also found that if it is a cool day (55) and the sun is shining, the system seems to think that the cabin is also 55 even when it is quite hot due to solar heating.
I just keep playing around with it and eventually get the cooling I want.
Would like to see a real...
My comments regarding charging while traveling;
I just completed my third trip from Nashville TN to Palm Springs CA, & return as well as one other long trip from Nashville to western Canada/Vancouver Island and find that I am getting better at getting the charges with less range anxiety partly...
I seem to recall that when I purchased the Rivian there was a commitment by Rivian to provide access to the Tesla Superchargers by way of an adapter. I understood that it was part of the purchase of the vehicle.
As I was making a long trip where there were very few chargers (to Canada and not...
Well, obviously if you want to have good value on your vehicle when you sell it or trade it, the best policy is to park it in the garage and keep the mileage low.
My R1S is now nearing the one year anniversary and currently has just over 26,000 miles with two trips planned in the next 2 months...
I am well aware of the charging rate curve and I have been starting the charge session almost always at less than 20% and sometimes less than 5%. Maybe I will inquire at at service when I get back from this trip and go in for the recommended next service.
I guess I have just gone to the wrong...
I am currently on my third trans continental (almost--Nashville to Palm Springs then Nashville to Vancouver Island, BC Canada and now on the was to Palm Springs again) trip and have some comments about the charging stations.
I have only rarely had the chargers with a rate of 200 kw and usually...
I have most of the apps downloaded and often they work. I have also had to call the help number that is posted on the charger and only a couple of times were they not able to fix the issue. One exception, Francis chargers in Oklahoma. Several different chargers late one night and several...
I had tires rotated at Discount Tire as I was advised by Rivian to do so. Tires were underinflated upon completion and although the the aero wheel covers are still attached, I noted that one of the pads was loose and it appears the metal clip is gone. Not a major issue but I am currently 1548...
Most people drive forward into their garages. Most people could reverse in if they wanted but don't. I have a double car garage and can easily (and always do ) charge from the stall away from the charger. (Wife's preference for her parking spot). Charger is 2 feet from my breaker panel but...
I also just returned from Canada and while there for a month, I changed the speedometer to KPH as the primary indicator and easily changed it back upon return to US
I recently made a long road trip and used several different chargers. Moving the charge port to the rear would have been beneficial at some of the Tesla superchargers I used, but as they were usually more expensive I tried to use others. Having the port at the back would have made it less...
