Just replaced the batteries in the R1T. Took about 45 minutes, including the time it took to grab the tools and climb into the frunk. I’ve replaced the original AGM batteries for LFP in my boat, this was less annoying but more stressful.
Maybe y'all are right and it's not sleeping and prob is safe to drive. Since we have the Bronco I haven't been too concerned, we're actually going to take the doors off today. My new 12v's will be here today so I'm hoping everything can be cleared up after I make the swap.
I have left the truck on the standard 70% SOC limit that I always do. Typically, I have very little phantom drain, maybe 0.5kWh in 24 hours. I have not driven the truck, the warning to leave it plugged in and range is decreased worried me. We have my wife's 4-Door Bronco with us so I've just...
I'm ready for my batteries to be here tomorrow. I have left the R1T plugged in for the last 5 days to prevent it discharging and bricking itself (we're staying at my in-laws beach house right now). Rivian wouldn't be able to get to me until July 2nd (I'm only 120 miles from the Raleigh service...
Not a bad idea. I could throw both batteries on my portable boat charger. In theory the BMS should start charging the 12v’s immediately. The smart on-board charger on my boat will send energy to either battery from the alternator depending on what their BMS (2 LFP Batteries, a 24v and one 12v)...
I’m replacing my 12 volt batteries with the sodium ohmmu models when they get here on Wednesday. I was told I don’t need to reset the alerts in the Ride menu, just do a hard reset after the swap. Is that true?
That's quite the statement. As a clinical researcher, I know it's damn near impossible to prepare for all variables. In fact, it is often best to note and prepare for adverse events rather than attempt to negate them. We live in a complex world, systems never operate in a vacuum like you're...
Does anyone else want a center position driver speedo option? Just increase the size of the current speedometer/power distribution gauge and move it to the middle.
I've had my R1T for about 2 months and around 2500 miles. I really like my truck, everything about it is great! I even had a really good experience with the Raleigh service center.
Would I buy again? Well, I bought mine used, that was really the only way because I refuse to spend the kind of...
I took my 2023 R1T in for service last week (just fixing some things from the previous owner). The tech met with me to go over my tickets and he asked if I verified if my vin could be retrofit with the V2 PTC. I told him the Rivian chat person told me it didn't have the wiring harness. He said...
