  1. RAN reaches 1,000+ charging stalls (40% YoY increase)

Definitely great to see the network expanding. I love my EVs but not being able to charge at home for the majority of my driving could still be a deal breaker for me if I were just entering the market. Only about 5-10% of EV charging actually happens at public stations and 80% at home. The...
  2. R1T Trade in Value vs R2 Performance Price

Rivian's trade values are low across EV's. For fun I tried my MYP the other day and $4k less at Rivian versus Carvanna. BTW, my 2 year old MYP has had 40% depreciation. Really missing that $7,500 EV credit right about now!
  3. What’s Coming in Rivian’s 2026.15.30 Hotfix

I am waiting for RA and Siri to get into a discussion while I am driving down the road. Maybe I can plug in an Alexa and stick on the dash to join in. I mean this stuff is great but I hope this doesn't become the focus of development. I still do like to actually drive my truck.
  4. Dealing with SC that says issues are "normal"....

You could take it to a Rivian authorized service shop and have them do an assessment for items 1 & 3. You will pay for an inspection but have either piece of mind that this is normal or paperwork from a third party to show the SC and an exhibit for small claims court. Item 2 should have been...
  5. Texas R1T GEN-1 KEY FOB

Joining the waitlist of ready to buy if others fall through!
  6. 2023 R1S Rear Bumper component breakdown? (collision w/video/pics)

First, hope you are okay and you are a tolerant soul with getting rear ended like that. No part numbers but you may be able to sign up here for access: https://rivian.com/support/article/as-an-independent-repairer-or-operator-how-do-i-request-access-to-rivian-service Someone else here may...
  7. Wait for R2 or get an R1?

I have both Tesla MYP and an R1T. Think it really depends on your use case. FSD on Tesla is really good but I just don't use it that much and it is a subscription now so I mainly use Autosteer. I think the Gen 1 Driver+ is every bit as good, if not better, than as the Tesla Autosteer when...
  8. Rival: EX60 Configurator opening this month

I looked hard at the EX30 but for all terrain capability I just don't see it in the same class as the R2 and especially with what you get in the Launch trim. The cargo storage is also significantly less in the EX. I am glad to see others making entry level vehicles and keep the competition going!
  9. 33%

It feels like that to me in winter but not so much in summer.
  10. Story: Taking R2 Beyond the Pavement Nimble, Responsive and Incredibly Fun on All Terrain

Really looking forward to a test drive! Why the hating of the Model Y? Mine does awesome on the snow/ice/mud. I will admit the Performance model does have some clearance issues but I forget about those past 112 mph. The R2 is supposed to be capped at 130. Us Gen1r's need a software upgrade.
  11. DIY Gen1 R1T rear bumper camera replacement

Mucho sucko! Would really like to have a method for improving the cams. One of the few things that gets me every time I switch between my Tesla and the R1T is the camera clarity/view. Seems silly for something I never had before on decades of cars but totally miss every time I drive one...
  12. Anyone considering trading their R1T for an LE R2?

No, I have a truck for truck stuff. I like my interior clean and not thinking twice of throwing bags of dirt in the back. I also enjoy not having a vertical limit to crap I put in the bed or having to disassemble something as simple as a bike to make it fit. I have had SUVs in the past and...
  13. New to forums and Rivian - want to discuss my pre-purchase concerns

Seems like you are talking yourself out of wanting one. Are your issues ranked? 1) Range issues - they have good range compared to others but there are better - buy a Silverado 2) "Rivians NEED a split phase 240v outlet. Proprietary V2H systems are not acceptable." - seems like more of a...
