THIS. Finally someone with common sense in these posts. For me, the R1T was the “perfect” truck until they launched it… with neutered specs. The CT has its issues but overall is in a class above the R1T - self driving and charging infrastructure alone.

lol. I’m posting here and Tesla forums, and I’m seeing you Credibility Karens all butt-hurt about the CT. How does it feel to drop $80K and then see a superior product crush your soul?

Couldn’t be further from the truth. I was a hard core Rivian evangelist from the day they announced a quad motor 400+ range truck. Went to all the events, met RJ, etc… With each passing year and reduced features and range and non-existent Driver+, they completely lost me and I’d even say pushed...

Huge missed opportunity for Rivian if they don’t get this figured out. Seems Tesla is a few (many) steps ahead. I’m pretty happy I held out for the CT.

Couldn’t cancel my 2018 Rivian reservation fast enough. Tesla delivered on their original concept. The R1T fell far short. The CT crushed the R1T’s demand today. Sad for RJ and crew.

What I was promised and reserved in 2018 (and waited all this time for) is MUCH different than what Rivian is building. What a huge disappointment. A 450+mi Cybertruck for less $$ and better charging infrastructure is now officially the obvious choice.

What a kick to the NUTS! I've been a massive supporter, attended all the events, got friends to order the R1T, been holding out for the MAX pack for cold weather / towing... and feel like it's been a bait and switch since my reservation Dec. 2018. I've been played. ✌ out Rivian...
