    Sure. It should look the same as long as I don't scrape it or hit it. I had done this to our VW Toureg and it lasted at least 9 years we had the car. the key here is to primer them and prep them properly.

    There are parking sensors which you will need to disconnect. But we didn't have any issues when connecting them back when the job was done.

    great advice by everyone. Just want to add if you don't have acetone at home, you can use nail polish remover. living with 3 women, I always have that handy. I am in the collision repair industry and I have noticed that the paint on the Rivians is very thin.

    It should wear/last the same as any other part which is painted. I will be covering the front bumper portion with a clear bra material to protect it from rock chips though

I am the owner of the shop which did the work but a good reputable shop would charge about $3k to do...

    basically I had the body shop take them all off, then they primed all parts with a epoxy primer and then sand down the primer and spray them with 2 stage (basecoat + Clear coat)PPG glossy black paint. They sprayed bulldog adhesion promoter before spraying the paint. Pretty labor intensive jobs...

    Finally went ahead and painted the lower cladding on my R1S. Took them off and primed them and painted them glossy black with clear coat. will clear bra the front bumper corner pieces so hopefully it will prevent rock chips. Really happy with the results.
