I'm not anticipating an actual date provided, more of a "window" such as "by end of Q4 2026" or something thereabouts. Generic and wide open. Maybe I'll be surprised, though.
It is, based on what rivian has said. Unfortunately I don't think this helps more people get into ev's.
I don't know why but even though most people will not need dcfc other than a few times a year, knowing that if/when they need it it'll be fast, available and reliable is a barrier to...
@Count Orlok could be. That's where I picked up my r1t last December.
I'm not interested in a launch edition r2 and said so in the questionnaire rivian has, hopefully that means they'll give my order spot to someone in Wisconsin who is :)
@DJFrerichs the drive went fine, only one employee was there, and they were busy so he checked me in, gave me the key(card) and I was off on my own for the drive.

Demo drive today.
Nice little suv, I can see it selling well. Felt like it has rivian DNA, which i was happy about.
For the life of me I could not get comfortable in the front seats, no matter how I adjusted them. I'm average height for a lady (5'4") and...
Not saying they're selling for a profit, just that some people who will take delivery may realize it's not the vehicle for them or life/circumstances change, etc.
When I bought my new '26 R1T I picked it up in Buffalo Grove IL, yes. Not sure if I could have picked it up in Menomonee Falls, WI...
You'll also start to see pre-owned ones hit the market, probably in the next 6-12 months (if not sooner). That was how I got my first R1T. The autonomy+ should (unless Rivian changed this policy) stay with the vehicle.
Other than my initial reservation email, I've not received any others from Rivian regarding the R2. No idea what (if anything) that means. Probably nothing.
