As an American, I apologize to our Canadian neighbors for the misleading email.
I’m optimistic that sometime in the near future, we can remember that our friends and neighbors are just as important as our ourselves.
To be honest, I’m not crazy about the high contrast colors in the seats. However, the dashboard does look pretty cool.
I live in the very hot desert, so I’m still a big fan of the ocean coast interior, which I currently have on my R1. Dark seats at 115° is not a good combination.
I’m not a fireman nor do I play one on TV. But I think you’ve got it all wrong. When you see something like this, you need to dig out a coat hanger from the back of your car, grab some marshmallows and your folding chair and have a good time.
I was on 21s.
I will admit I’m torn as to whether I want the 20 or 21s.
It’s worth noting that the 21 is a Perelli. Like the R1 series not a lot of mileage, excellent performance. The 20 is a goodrich tire. I’m guessing a little bit better mileage before it wears out. Although a lot cheaper to...
I’m an R1 S owner, test drove the R2 yesterday. I felt the ride quality was superior to my R1. No clunky sounds just simply smoother and handled rough roads better. I’m a big fan of the simplicity of suspension by getting rid of the air.
Overall, very impressed and I look forward to getting mine.
The electric charging market is full of “markup to Markdown” Games. Certainly avoid paying retail. For example, with the Tesla superchargers, a ~$12 month membership will get you a nice discount. Most vendors have similar programs except for Rivian. And the pricing displayed in the Rivian...
There is an option to remove all charging stops. It will then show your arrival battery percentage as potentially hashmarks if you would be below zero then you can go back and manually add the stop of choice.
I tend to say just drive it. Or maybe let your wife drive it one or two days a week. A little overage at the end of the lease isn’t the end of the world, particularly if you can minimize it by sharing.
I've had ting washer and splines replaced but not Arms. I've always wanted to whole subframe replaced, but never win that war.
The spine replacement seemed to fix the tock sounds for a while, but now i'm starting to hear things again under certain conditions, not all the time.
Better but...
Three years ago when I bought my Rivian R1S, I purchased the insurance directly from Rivian. Of course this is nationwide on the back end.
At the time, I also added my other vehicle to the policy. Price seemed competitive.
Last month I sold the other vehicle and as a result my Rivian policy...
I've got 40k miles on my Gen1 R1S with Ocean Coast interior and it's holding up perfectly. Easy to clean. I live in Coachella Valley, CA where it's extremely hot. 120deg is not unheard of in the summer, so the lighter color was very important. I had a dark R1S with black interior loaner for...
