So true. I am 47. But I'm also a test pilot and have been for 20 years. But what do old folks like me know about safety tech.
Last time I bring a concern up here. Good luck gents.
Thanks for the reply and good question. I used the app earlier that day. If I am not mistaken, the MFA message said something to the effect that they "periodically" require re-authentication, which make me think there's an element of randomness to it? Or perhaps it's on a periodic cycle?
Looking for clarification and advice here before writing a letter to management.
Last weekend, my 11 year old daughter was at the far end of our property near the Rivian. She needed to get into the locked car in order to grab something. She texted me to unlock the car. I opened my Rivian app to...
I use this stuff, inside and out. Had my R1T a full year now and have never actually washed it with water. Just spray and wipe.

Pretty compelling. Looks like they've learned from Rivian's good and bad.
Fingers crossed they give it thicker sheet metal than the Rivian. That's my only real complaint with this car. It dents so easily and isn't cheap to fix.
Prox at home does not work well. Every time I walk into my kitchen (which is above the garage), I can hear the truck below gurlgle, click and whine. This absolutely needs to be changed. I've written Rivian with no reply.
Thank you all for the thoughtful replies. I'm a pilot, so always concerned about failures and lifespan of equipment. I guess I should probably file this one under "don't sweat it" and just enjoy my car. :)
Just curious...is anyone else concerned about the wear in and tear being put on the cars pumps, motors, computers, etc every time you just open a door?
I've been to my car a few times today to grab something out of it and/or put stuff in. Every time, it thinks we're going on a trip and starts...
Minuscule thing that is meaningless and nonetheless driving me mad...the new grey oval background behind the temperature is misaligned vertically on the drivers side. The grey oval is too high. Passenger side looks right.
I wipe mine down a couple times a week with AeroProducts wash/wax. Never washed it other than to apply front PPF and full body ceramic. The no-rinse products are so good now you really don't need a full wash ever unless you've off-roaded.
Right. It's been said, but all of this is heading in the wrong direction and quickly. Pretty soon, maintaining an overly complex car will be on par with the costs of maintaining a small plane. Not tenable for the average person. So what are they going to do when faced with a $1,500 windshield...
Same happens to me from time to time. I think just a random glitch.
#2 listed in original post happens all the time. I can't figure out how to stop it and have just given up. The car never sleeps since our garage is right under our kitchen. The car thinks I want to go for a ride every time I...
This works great for me on the outside and inside. I use it on everything.
