I received mine yesterday but I wasn't able to get it under the edges of the trim. Any tips? I could only get it under the trim on the front of the car. The side trims and back trim were so tight I was afraid to press any harder trying to wedge my fingers in.
Delivery Day! Only issue I've come across is a minor panel gap at the liftgate but considering I see that mentioned for most all posts about the liftgate (and that it's not really that bad), I didn't bother reporting it. I only noticed it once I was home. It's soooo nice. Can't believe it's...
I spoke to my guide on 5/18, the day after I selected from the shop. At that time it was at the factory. I emailed my guide on 5/23 for an update. He replied the same day stating that the car was already on its way. I don't know which day between 5/18 and 5/23 that it left.
5/17: Selected R1S from R1 Shop. Was told it was at the factory in Normal
6/7 : I got the email today to schedule delivery appointment (Miami, FL SC). Pickup Appointment confirmed for 6/9
Just got the email that my R1S is ready for delivery. Soonest available appointment was this Friday. So just under a month from selecting it in the shop. 5/17 selection made, 6/9 pickup from Miami service center.
This is the opposite of what I was seeing in the shop in the middle of May. There was consistently 20-30 R1S in the shop with the majority being BM and a few FE. OC would show up but was rare and they'd get claimed much faster than all of the others.
When reserving a R1T today, don't people immediately get access to the shop? There's gotta be some kind of separation I'd think. Or R1S pre-orders can see both, but R1T can only see R1T?
According to the summit link posted above (https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mhl-09565#overview) the 275/50-21 have a lower load index at 113 compared to the stock Pirellis at 116. Thats about 220lbs difference per tire. Is that enough? I dont really know anything about tires.
