It's a completely valid feeling. I have friends who will not buy another brand because of how much they rely on FSD. Rivian will need to offer an FSD alternative to sway those drivers.
I don't get these situations at all. My '22 R1T was in service a lot with various problems, but was still my favorite car/truck I've ever owned. I traded it in for a '25 R1T and got a really good offer from Rivian. There are options if you aren't happy. I'd love to hear how he got to this point.
I had running boards on my 2022 R1T and didn't install any on my 2025 R1T. I miss them, so does everyone who enters my truck. I do use kneel, but it still needs running boards in my opinion.
I wish the available options were easier to install. I installed my first set, but hesitant to go...
I have a Rivian and a Polestar. I've always gotten a loaner or rental from Rivian. I've never gotten one from Polestar or Volvo... By this logic - "Don't ever buy a Polestar, only buy Rivian"... *Shrug*
I’ve had the same on my ‘22 R1T and had the suspension, front subframe, and half shafts replaced with Gen 2 parts. It fixed my issues. I have since traded it in for a ‘25 R1T which has no suspension noise issues.
If I was sure I could get a decent lease deal, then I would say Yes. I think demand and low availability will put it out of reach. Ended up leasing a Polestar 3 to accompany my 25' R1T. Polestar is running some decent lease incentives right now.
I dumped my 2022 R1T for a 2025 R1T. Never looked back.
P.S. I had a Lexus 250h, and it had one of the first 12v Gel Batteries. Died while we were out for dinner over an hour away from home (the car was only a few months old). Had to get it flatbed towed and get a very expensive taxi home. Not...
My wife was rear-ended (no damage), but I wanted to pull the video, and it was missing from the Rivian UI. I unplugged the camera and plugged it into my computer, and could see the video in question. Even after plugging the hard drive back into the truck, the video in question was not there. I...
I've had this done on my '22 R1T, and it has to be done at a Rivian service center. For me, they replaced the half shafts and the front subframe, among other parts. I drove over an hour away to get it done. Part of buying a truck without a wide service area.
