  1. R2 non-powered frunk is a mistake?

I am indifferent to it being powered. I get why some would want it but for how infrequently it is used I don't care either way. A strap would be helpful though.
  2. Mark Rober teases R2 modification

Its a roof mounted toilet just makes the content easier to deal with .
  3. R2 as our only car

Go for it, won't be an issue.
  4. 500-800 miles from Service Center......from those with Rivian experience....how risky will this be?

I build data centers for customers and I can tell you this is the industry period. Bugs, features coming s00n, problems etc etc. Software quality is just something industry has removed period. While I hate it that is our reality and it isn't going to change. I respect your perspective but...
  5. 500-800 miles from Service Center......from those with Rivian experience....how risky will this be?

I don't believe it is anymore of a gamble than most other brands. I had a VW that was less than 2 months old, sensor issues took 2 weeks to figure out and fix. I know others with Benz, BMW, Honda any brand that have had issues with their vehicles. I also know plenty of folks who have owned...
  6. R2 Compact Spare tire....are you ordering it on your build?

Based on your comment about where you live I would get it. for me personally I haven't had a spare tire in a car for many years now, BMW, Audi, Rivian and plenty others don't provide one. I have used the tire sealant kits they have provided more than once. It worked well enough not just to...
  7. 500-800 miles from Service Center......from those with Rivian experience....how risky will this be?

Couldn't disagree more. I know this is your personal experience but I have had 2 R1s in 3.5 years. Aside from an original problem 3.5 years ago my vehicles only have required service for tires. I didn't take it to Rivian I took it locally and twice had mobile service perform it on my...
  8. In the world of Luce, The Rivian R3X could shine

In the world of Luce the CyberTruck is amazing. That is saying a lot.
  9. Ferrari Luce?????

It may drive like a Ferrari but it doesn't need to look like an old slipper. No style at all just an odd shape.
  10. Ferrari Luce?????

Most things in my life are function over form but not cars. The look and appeal of a vehicle is what drives me to purchase. Yes it needs the other functional things but if it is not appealing I won't touch it. considering what Ferrari just unveiled I am in the 'Not touch it' camp. It just...
  11. R1S vs R2 = Tier 1 Luxury vs Entry Level EV?

The quality of the R2 will be similar to the R1. They are reducing the cost of the vehicle by removing certain features that cost money. This is what plenty of brands do. No powered frunk closure, no fancy wood inside, no air suspension etc etc. Based on the reviews of people who have...
  12. Rivian Assistant Makes Siri Look Overqualified

I was pleasantly surprised how it did what I needed it too. Texting both reading and responding as well as navigation inputs. I barely touch my Spotify as it just plays through playlists with ease. Siri does these things fine as well. It isn't perfect but it is enough for me.
  13. R2 Rivian Portable Charger for $400?

Plenty of companies are not giving away chargers anymore. The thought was that EV buyers already have one so why give something away. It is like companies that give free road side don't provide spares, it's just not a good use of money. Not saying I agree but somewhat makes sense.
  14. R2 vs midsize SUV- need by June

Honda Prologue for now. Bet you can get a great deal on one too.
