  1. L2 charger down to 2.7kwh at 24F.. Should I be worried?

Early on, there was no indication the battery was getting any heat during L2 charging. Rivian pushed a couple updates and it improved a little. By the time the “real fix” was rolled out, Spring was here and it was warm enough that we couldn’t really test it. Luckily, the recent testing by...
  2. L2 charger down to 2.7kwh at 24F.. Should I be worried?

Fully aware that is the intended use. Those of us that have been on this thread since last winter understand cold battery temps (below 55) were causing horrible throttling during AC charging in Gen 2 vehicles. Manual preconditioning was not available last winter but would have been appreciated...
  3. L2 charger down to 2.7kwh at 24F.. Should I be worried?

Sure, go to the Energy menu and select the Charging tab and then press the “Prepare for Fast Charging” button
  4. L2 charger down to 2.7kwh at 24F.. Should I be worried?

Here’s hoping! Thanks for the testing @COMtnEV. We also have an easy on-demand battery preconditioning option, so this winter should be much better for Gen 2 folks.
  5. I built a ‘fueling station’ with 10- 400 watt panels, eg4 6000xp, and eg4 14kw battery

Here in central WA, we have net metering not TOU, so batteries don’t really make sense for my use case. We installed this solar carport to add capacity to the array on the roof And it’s been incredible. Phase 3 of the solar goes in this summer, after which we’ll have 70 panels pumping out a...
  6. ABRP integration

Rivian, For the love of all that is holy, please, please, please use the incredible software you purchased from ABRP and fully integrate it into your vehicles and app! Top priorities (that already exist in ABRP): 1) Fine tuning for route planning (both in app and vehicle, shared...
  7. Anyone transported a sliding glass door?

Just like you suggested, I built an A frame temp structure and transported a large sliding glass door about 60 miles. Take it slow and plan out your route ahead of time.
  8. 2025.10 Update Now Installing

My wife thinks I hallucinating (and maybe I am) but I also think the low speed driving ride quality has dramatically improved.
  9. 2025.10 Update Now Installing

Anyone know which update fixed the Gen 2 wireless phone charging? It used to pull up apple wallet all the time because of the NFC comms, but I used it yesterday for the first time in long time and it worked without a hitch.
  10. 2025.10 Update Now Installing

Maybe it’s total placebo, but driving around my neighborhood is noticeably smoother post update. The old concrete streets are in rough shape and its always been a jarring ride until now. I have some cool (30s) weather coming up so I plan to test the improved AC charging. Here’s hoping.
  11. Just bought a R1S Dual Max Battery today - Former Tesla Owner - Which charger adapters recommended?

Weird, sorry to hear that. I had amazing customer service from A2Z. They even overnight shipped my adapter because I wanted to use it on a road trip.
  12. Gen2 Quad Motor Pricing Leaked by Costco! R1S = $115,900 / R1T = $109,900

Trust your gut and go for it! G1 R1T QM is a beast and an incredible value in the $50-55K range.
  13. Which ADAS is Really Driving? It’s Mobileye!

So turn off wifi. Problem solved, right?
  14. If you love your R1 (or other EV) the future will be what you make it.

What 2 seater did you order? I hope it starts with 911 and ends in Turbo :) Agreed on all fronts, although some of the stuff coming out of China recently gives me hope for some rapid advancements again in terms of battery performance - 500kw charging is no joke.
