Believe it or not, there are places that phones are not allowed, nor are Bluetooth devices (which the fob apparently is), so the key card is the only option. Unless you want to lock your phone in a locker before entering the building.
Is she just tapping, meaning touching the key card near the handle, then quickly lifting it? Iāve always laid it as flat as possible on the handle until it locks/unlocks. Takes ~ 2 seconds.
Not to make this sound like a female thing, but my wife always does the same thing with hotel rooms...
Yeah, Iāll echo what @KBabione said. I took my first-ever test drive of an EV when I drove an R1T. It was a pre-defined route in Gaithersburg (probably the same route everyone here took through the Gaithersburg SC), and I had zero problems with 1-pedal driving. I actually had the hang of it...
This isn't related to long-term durability, but if you think the R2 would arrive within 3-6 months of lease end, Chase will often allow you to extend it (at your current payment) for a few months. I'm planning on doing that for my '24 R1T, if for nothing else, it was such a great deal...why not...
If I had to guess (and more to the point, if I had to design the system), Iād say:
Attempt to read the sign
If no sign, or sign unreadable, use map data
If map data is not available, use last known speed limit
Speed limit signs are all that matters, so it makes sense that, given the technology...
Those two statements seem to contradict each other. Regardless, it most definitely detects and reads the signs. Hereās how I know:
In Virginia, we have an interstate (I-66) that has HOT lanes in the middle, which are separated from the regular lanes by pylons. The speed limit in the HOT lanes...
Maybe I've just been hit w/ the "lucky stick"? I've not had 10% of the issues people here have posted about. And the ones I have had were really minor IMO (like the Apple Music app suddenly cutting out).
I've been to Sterling the last 3 times (15K, 22.5K, and yesterday), and Gaithersburg twice (7.5K and PTC install). I have had zero problems scheduling. All previous times I've done it through the app, except this one, where I called.
Also, I've had 3 loaners (two Rivians, one Audi), an Uber...
I think this is region-dependent, so the blanket statement of āRivian service sucksā is misleading.
I just had my 12v battery replaced yesterday. In & out in 2 hours. Scheduled the appointment while on vacation on the other side of the country, and they got me in 10 days later. They would have...
I must sayā¦Iām genuinely curious why you bothered to post such a long winded message about all the things you didnāt like about the R2ā¦on a Rivian forum.
Iāve owned mine for almost 2 years, and absolutely love it. Iāve also been a member here for a little longer, and not once have I felt the...
So, this may have been mentioned earlier (not going to scroll through 11 pages), but I asked the service rep this morning about my battery. He said the most recent update was better tuned to detect "possible 12v issues", which is why so many of us are suddenly being flagged.
Another great...
Iām having mine replaced tomorrow. ā24 Gen 1 (so single battery). This my first replacement.
For the record, Iāve never received a warning via the system. I just got a text from Rivian saying I might experience problems, and to schedule a replacement.
Got my work order as well. $0.
