The person who hit your car doesn't tell you that they'll give you a brand new car. This is about what Rivian told him, not what should be expected. I'm taking the OP at face value as you should until proven otherwise.
It is 100% a Rivian issue. They offered him a new truck after f'ing his up and then changed their mind. I don't get how people don't see this. Was Rivian within their right to offer a comparable truck, absolutely but that should have been the offer from the start. Of course OP is going to be...
I have to strongly disagree. There is no car like this in the US and its not because people don't want it. You don't think people in the US would convert to EV for a car that has ~500 mile range, with almost 1000 hp, and priced around 50k?! I couldn't find any official numbers on pricing but if...
I don't see Rivian getting to FSD on their own. And by FSD I mean they take responsibility for any and all accidents while the system is engaged. This is a really, really hard problem. Just look at the resources other companies have dumped into it (and still aren't there). I personally think the...
I think its a bit of a stretch to call Rivian's infotainment well thought out. How's that talk to text working? More options for consumers are never a bad thing.
In the famous words of Ron Swanson "never half-ass two things, whole-ass one thing". Now that 2 has become 3. For Rivian to be successful, all the focus should be on Rivian. A bike company with significant IP, come on.
The stock has been around $14 for the past year so nothing special there. The rest of the year is going to be rough due to low deliveries of existing vehicles and the potential tariff/tax incentive issues. So you'd really have to bet on the R2 being an absolute home-run which is anyone's guess...
If you predict a bad (low) number, and meet said number, its still bad. Plus 8k times 4 only gets you 32k deliveries for the year. What's the secret sauce for making up the difference? It won't be a lower price point with everything becoming more expensive.
