I'm guessing combo of living closer + having open order is giving you priority. Maybe once they've seen people like you do demo drives or ignore it, they will let people like me sign up. Needs to happen on a weekend or evening though or I just can't do it.
still says
"R2 demo drives at this location are fully booked ā check back as new slots open daily."
is your reservation already letting you order? mine is august-september, so I was wondering if that's why it doesn't show openings for me
Looked at my app just now and theyāve added the closest service center to me in Duncan SC as a pop up demo drive location.
Currently no slots available so Iāll just keep looking I guess!
Iām happy that this color will look good with a wrap where you can still see the door jambs etc. Black is the best option but Iād rather get whatever color is free.
Pros: steer by wire + four wheel steering is absolutely amazing. Wish every car had it. I will miss that more than anything else. Tonneau especially on an angled roof is great to have even though itās not water tight.
Cons: getting flipped off and thumbs down for no reason. Driver side A...
I've argued too much with the hardcore fanboys on this. I love FSD, and it's going to be the hardest adjustment going to Rivian, but there are limitations that cannot be ignored. The placement of the B pillar camera (as well as the viewing angle) along with the viewing angle of the repeater...
Iāve used auto exclusively in Model 3, Model Y and now Cybertruck. In summer I keep it at 67-69 and winter 70-71 and Iāve always been perfectly comfortable. When I get in the car with someone else who has it on manual and has to keep changing settings I just donāt get it.
Over 60 it doesn't pull like it does from 0-60 mph. The 0-100 time on CB is the same as that R2 run, which means the 60-100 for CB is 4.4 while 60-100 for R2 is only 3.4.
I don't expect it to be anywhere near the same feeling for 0-60. But if it's quicker than our old MYP that's great.
I'm actually more excited about the better top end (50+) acceleration than the 0-60 launch that I rarely get to use. Flooring it to pass on the highway happens more often than flowing it from a stop. I currently drive a Cyberbeast, which is VERY quick to 60 but beyond that does not feel like it...
All of the unsupervised cars have bumper cameras (and I don't think any without the bumper camera will ever be unsupervised).
There is still a massive line spot beside each front fender though, and in certain sharp angles turns (which are more frequent in the mountains where I live) I notice...
