Just popping in here to note I was driving back from Colorado Springs to DIA earlier this week and decided to stop in at Castlewood Canyon to check out the view. I was pleasantly surprised to see the RAN chargers on our way out past the visitors center.
I've called / opened service tickets three different times for the tonneau retrofit on my 2022 R1T. Each time they've confirmed that "you have to wait until it shows up in the Gear Shop" but no timetable on when that might be. Super frustrating but I'm gonna keep trying until they get tired of...
Thanks for the reminder on tire PSI. Obviously this is tire maintenance 101, but I always forget to adjust my tire pressure between seasons. Just checked mine (OEM Scorpions) and they were all at 44. Increased them all to 48.
Really happy to hear they got you sorted out. That's a ton of work (and time waiting) but hopefully it ends up being worth the frustration.
I would gladly buy you coffee in the area (I'm in Maryland) for you to take a quick ride in my R1T and see if you noticed anything. I don't have an ear...
Excited to receive the charger today but quickly discovered a manufacturing or design defect. After installing it, I noticed the charger was flopping on the ball instead of sitting firm. Determined that the female portion of the ball socket (attached to the rear of the charger plate) wasn't...
Love this design and I’m definitely in the market but I‘m pretty committed to the Peak Design phone case and mounts. They offer a ball mount version but only in 20mm and 1” ball sizes. Any plans to support these?

Here's an interesting curve for you. My scheduled charging hours are 10pm-10am. Temps were between 25-30F overnight. IIRC it was charging at 4.7kW when I stopped it this morning, which suggests it was only hitting peak (~9kW) for 2-3 hours.
Yikes, it hadn't occurred to me to check lately but according to Fastcharger.info, the RAN hasn't been updated since May 2024. ?

Oh wow, I just realized it's right next to the W&OD Trail. I was planning on biking tomorrow anyways, might as well kill two birds with one stone. See you there! ?
