First off, I have to correct you in that annoying Apple fanboy way just for accuracy sake: it's Apple Watch, not iWatch. But then, since Tim Apple made the same mistake from the stage when announcing it, it's one none of us can complain about. :-D
Second, and more importantly, this is already...
There was a car...something forgettable...on the road this morning with a modified exhaust to make it sound...uh...macho or something. The only thing I could think to myself was that it sounded like it was a poorly maintained vehicle. That's what loud cars sound like to me. A well maintained...
I don't intend for this to be demeaning to them, but Guide is just a different name for "salesperson" -- you know, the person that first comes to greet you when you walk onto a dealership. As consumers, that should be the expectation we should set for ourselves in our interaction with them...
I don't have a way to test it myself, but the owner's manual says:
Obviously, just because the manual says so doesn't mean it's actually working in practice. But that's the way it is supposed to work, anyway.
Took delivery this morning. ? Pics when it stops raining (which is an Oregonian phrase meaning "never").
Quote of the day:
"That's a weird truck." -- Overheard from lady saying to her companion waiting at a crosswalk that I was driving past.
I should not have waited until yesterday to measure...
They aren't cheap, but I recommend a Kendon trailer. They're really high quality, IMO. I have this one:

for carting around my Zero SR/S. It worked really well with my Jeep...
Slightly different experience in my case that I thought I'd report on. It was the service center that called me to say that scheduling was available (even before scheduling opened up on the 8-step) and they arranged a time with me on the phone. Delivery was (is) about a week from the time they...
My guide said today that mine is in transit, which is the most specific status I've heard so far. I told her I was anxious about getting the 8-step completed so she said go ahead and do the financing and payment, so long as I was willing to send in a payment even though my delivery may still not...
Ditto with @swhme I became aware of the 8-step by email.
I had my appt with the Rivian Insurance agent today. If you plan on going with Rivian Insurance, keep in mind that their phone goes straight to voicemail always (even during business hours), and the earliest appointment may be 2 days...
Something of interest I noticed; my VIN is in the 5200s, so even though I got my PBA/8-step sooner--by a day or three--than some of you, the vehicle was actually produced later?
Got my 8-step on Monday, but my Guide said to hold off on the financing section until I get a go-ahead from her. I'm not sure why, but I'm following orders. I suspect that she wants to make sure the vehicle is actually deliverable before we go through all that, which is a ? from me. The 8-step...
Keep in mind that there'll never be more LGs. Once FE/OC complete, that's it. So you'll start seeing more of every other color from then on. At least, that's the way I look at it.
Ooo ooo, I know this one! (And yet otherwise know next to nothing about vehicle design...)
It's called the CAN (like LAN or WAN): controller area network (sometimes misnamed car area network). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAN_bus
I know because the headunit in my Jeep had been intermittently...
Oh, one other thing I forgot that was mildly alarming: the camp kitchen, gear shuttle, and tent all had to be removed from my order because apparently there are no more available. I was told that I'd need to order those myself from the Gear Shop later when they become available. I asked if there...
