OK, I just went through two days with no power after a winter storm and used this method.
Yes, it is dangerous if you do things wrong.
Yes, it is dangerous if your house is wired incorrectly.
No, I would not recommend anyone that isn't already comfortable working inside a breaker panel try...
The element IMHO is better than nothing.... Maybe.. Barely. Except that it likely gives you a false sense of protection.
A small dry chemical extinguisher if used properly is very effective and cheap (but makes a hell of a mess).
Halon-alike extinguishers are very effective, very expensive...
Sounds like a Progressive insurance issue more than a Rivian issue.... There are plenty of windshields out there that are only available directly from the manufacturer, certainly not a situation unique to Rivian.
But sure, it's more difficult than getting a Ford Explorer windshield that is...
Complaining? Nope... Just trying to collect some info.
Yes, I got my R1T quickly. Didn't jump any line, was simply offered my truck from Rivian and took it! At that time, getting an R1T "ahead of schedule" seemed to be combo of:
Being close to a service center.
Having a reservation, even...
No worries... It just wasn't clear on many of the responses if they were Launch Edition R1S reservations or not... I now see that your Feb/Mar delivery is not a launch edition... which is the info I was trying to glean.
Last time I chatted with my guide (mid December), she has said that for...
After todays big re-sort, what are the quickest delivery estimates folks have received for a NON Launch-Edition R1S?
I'm also assuming there have been zero deliveries other than LE for the R1S so far... Please correct me if I'm mistaken.
I've been bumped out to Q1-Q2 2024 for my R1S...
Thanks... I appreciate it!
I realize many don't understand why I would want to disable this by default, but lets just say I have a good use-case for it.
I'd also LOVE to be able to turn off automatic locking on drive-away! I've had many cars that have that feature, but never one that didn't...
@momo3605,
Would you do me a favor and actually check if disabling the forward collision warning resets between drives on your truck? I've had it to Rivian and they first said they also thought it was a bug, but then returned it the same way essentially saying it's a 'feature' and it doesn't...
2022.35.03 release notes say" "Driver+ Settings Are Now Persistent."...
Specifically:
On my truck, if I turn off the Forward Collision Warning, it will ALWAYS turn itself back on for the next drive. Can a few of you check this in your trucks and see if this is always the case? (without...
I have used many of those in the past, but not a single one of those would I use today... Graphene, ceramic and other similar coatings have replaced them all for me.
