I finally got a 2019 Corvette manual - the last year they made one. Also the last year you could get a soft top convertible. Ordered it the way I wanted it, and picked it up at the Corvette Museum. Still have it.
Weirdly, Tesla is restrciting these at present. From the Tesla web site;
"Purchases are limited to Tesla vehicle owners currently."
The price jumped about $100 recently as well.
I agree that many folks are swayed by advertising. In my case, I have become convinced that MIchelin is my best choice of tire from years of personal experience on multiple vehicles.
I think the BFG AT 20s will be fine.
When the time comes to replace them, I think I wil go with Michelin Defender LTX M/S2s.
Had these for many years of my 4Runner. Great tires.
Not cheap, but I never skimp on tires.
Thanks to all for the clarifications.
I still find it weird and confusing that Tesla describes their Wall Connector as
"a convenient and fast way to charge your Tesla vehicle at home."
and their Universal Wall Connector as
"a convenient and fast way to charge your electric vehicle at home...
That appears to be the Tesla only version. The description reads:
Description
Wall Connector is a convenient and fast way to charge your Tesla vehicle at home.
Features
Up to 44 mi of range added per hour at 11.5 kW / 48 amp output depending on vehicle1
Auto-sensing handle to open charge port...
Maybe there should have been a third option in this poll; Cash, Finance, or Lease.
I was planning to lease, but disovered that in my state,, leasing in unfavorable.
(In Texas, you pay sales tax on the full purchase price if you lease, and then if you buy it out at the end of the lease, you pay...
To me, this really comes down to your personal sense of design - what is pleasing to your eye, and what you find visaully offensive. Example: I had a Mazda Miata - loved that car. So much fun to drive. But...the rear trunk lid was cluttered. It's a small car to being with, and the lid itslef had...
I did a quick and dirty version of what the rear end would look like without the RIVIAN across the back....
Personally, I don't care for it, but to each his own.
I hav e debadged vehiclwes before, but the R2 badging doesn't bother me. I think it might look a bit bland in the back without the RIVIAN spelled out as it is. Maybe just remove the R2 badge?
(I am also a stockholder, and don't mind helping get the word out about Rivian...)
Maybe one of our...
Story: I have a feature in my manual shift Corvette called "Rev Match"'.
When I shift, the engine revs up or down to 'match' the speed I am going and the gear into which I am shifting. I thought it was dumb at first, and I know how and when to shift - from a lifetime of driving manual cars...
