Sorry for the delay. I moved back home in August. The windshield was cracked so I waited until bringing it back to fix (otherwise it was going to cost $9000 due to shipping etc). I had to tether off mobile for connectivity, which only worked while you were in Park. But supposedly they finally...
Sorry to hear about you having to move back! Strange enough, I need to move back this summer too! Not sure if I will sell the Rivian in Germany or keep it. I have a R1S preorder with pre-price-raise pricing so I might try to use that.
Yes, the shipper put a pool noodle (with rope threaded inside) in to prevent the frunk from closing, and tied it to the tow hook and something inside the frunk. Actually check out my profile pic :)
First the HV relay was connected, then the 12V. When reconnecting the 12v, it is essential to...
Sorry for the delay, I didn't read the whole thread but I disconnected the HV and the LV (12v). Technically the HV disconnect is just disconnecting the Fireman loop (it has a connector), not actually touching any HV wiring.
Sure. I am on a US SOFA contract which allowed me to register it through the US military overseas system. They issue German plates but the data is maintained by the US and shared with TüV. I can also use USAA insurance, which isn't an option for Europeans. I am watching closely to see if...
I regularly get to drive at top speed (111/112mph) on the autobahn and it drove pretty smooth. A bit of hood flutter but not worrisome. I drive hard and my R1T is amazing.
I don't think it would make a difference, as long as the batteries can supply more than 12.2V continuously. Are you experiencing an issue currently? If you don't connect BOTH batteries at the same time, you could have issues, from what I have read. If it isn't working, try disconnecting them and...
Unfortunately I registered it in the US system, which would not be available to most. But there is another person with an R1S here, I am waiting to hear back from him if he passes TuV. @JW-R1S
I know it's a long shot, but has anyone done some digging to see if the Rivian has a SIM card for LTE, and possibly trying to swap it? For us overseas folks who don't have any connectivity.. :)
