But 2025 study says 56% of all car drivers use radio, so NOT obsolete. Just because you have moved to a different deliver method, Radio is still the choice for over 1/2 the drivers. For some of us, cell based really sucks. Sure Rivian saves $25 bucks (est) on radio hardware and loose sales...

And cell towers go about 15 miles by us, so my house and cabin, not so far out and adventuring, still get hurt by this decision.

HD FM is digital And yeah, the CD is digital lossless, 20-22khz range, 96 dB dynamic range , and DRM free, so you own it and can make whatever digital format you want. Lots of good stuff comes with CDs.
