FWIW, with the usual YMMV caveat, I just sold my R1T with ~21k miles on it. I swapped the stock Pirellis to TerrainContacts when the Rivian had 400-500 miles on it, so over 20k miles with these tires. I did everything from road trips to off road to around town. Not only were these very...
Mine is parked next to proof I didnāt buy the Rivian to save the planet ... 6 turbos and over 1500 hp of fuel burning goodness (including the Raptor, which is technically outside the garage). š
:fist bump:
Lived outside London for several years, around the time Triumph was making its resurgence actually (sort of 2009-2015). Classic Triumphs, Nortons, "Tritons", BSA, etc were everywhere. :movember: Fell in love with the brand then and vowed to get one when at some point after we...
Yes! Itās a ā77 Tiger 750 (TR7RV). My son picked it up a couple years ago from an older gentleman whoād been caring for it the past couple decades. Mostly original āpreservedā rider. I was taking it to get new tubes and tires installed.
Air suspension, with the ability to lower it, makes hauling bikes a breeze. My Raptor is stupid high, and with a canopy itās a PITA to load a bicycle in back let alone a motorcycle.
The following was in my news feed this morning. Thought it was kinda funny, but also a pretty good analogue for why weāre so divided in this country anymore: Same data, completely opposite headlines.
Local tire and wheel shop. Theyāve done a ton of Rivians (which are a dime a dozen here). They give the requisite āmay not be load rated per factory specā, but will mount them because theyāre rated high enough.
I logged a little over 14k miles on these before switching to my winter set up around Thanksgiving. Below is a link to my 11k mile update. I updated again when switching over (at 14k-ish) but canāt find the thread. Short version is, still even wear, right at 2.0 mi/kWh (which includes a few...
I have Nokian Hakkapeliitta R5 SUV on my R1T, and theyāre fantastic. Weāve had about 2 feet of snow over the past 7-10 days, then an ice event from freezing rain / freezing fog the past 24 hours. Roads are a combination of packed ice and deep heavy slush right now (rain falling, then freezing...
Great write up and observations. Many of the āchalllengesā and shortcomings you experienced ā from real world range and charging infrastructure shortcomings to lack of storage cubbies ā highlight why Iāve decided to go back to a Raptor. Love my R1T, but a frequent road trip machine it isnāt (at...
Those (Vossen forged S17-01s) are what I use for the winter set up on my RS5 (paint matched). They look great on the R1S as well ... although I wouldnāt go 24s personally.
Averaging 2.0-ish lifetime. Too many variables go into that number though, and Iāve only ever ran these tires (mounted just after delivery) ... so who knows what Iād be getting otherwise.
That said, these likely arenāt the tires for people who hypermile and always seek max range, who are...
