  1. The 330-Mile Question: Where Are the 260+ Mile R2 Drives?

It was a Performance Model so that's why their range was what it was. Back in 2018 Tesla was advertising the range of the performance as the same as the base model with the smaller tires. I had the same issue where the real range was no where close to the stated range. With the R1T its close...
  2. Parking lot accident

I believe the OP added a digit in an edit and yet this comment is still true.
  3. Parking lot accident

You might just have the lowest repair bill in the history of accidents with a Rivian.
  4. LE R2 No More Backlog

Does anyone know how long you have from the time you get the invite to the time you need to order? They keep sending me reminder emails.
  5. Cybertruck Laugh of the Day [⚠️ WARNING: NO POLITICS; MEMBERS BANNED]

That's an improvement. The best thing about the CyberTruck is its already rock bottom when you get it.
  6. LE R2 No More Backlog

I got the invite to order yesterday, and my reservation date was exactly on the same day as you. If I had to guess I think it would be based primarily on distance to a service center and the current backlog of that service center. At least that's the priority I would be going off of.
  7. R2 Review, after 4 demo drives

Are you going through with buying one or are you still a few more test drives away from that? :-) But, more seriously the lack of steering tightness adjustment is one of my first complaints with my R1T. I wanted sports mode to be tight.
  8. Testing out amphibious capabilities of my R1S today

Not sure what to admire more. The Rivians ability to do that The Drivers ability to push aside all fear and go through with that attempt.
  9. Disillusioned New R1T Owner

AI says he lives in Arcata, California based on a "Where in California can a professor live but also be 4 hours away from a Rivian Service Center" I don't think I'd want to get a flat in Humboldt County.
  10. Disillusioned New R1T Owner

I think this depends entirely on personal experience and use case. The more remote a person is the importance of a spare goes up. My GF's sister refuses to own a car without a spare due to an experience in LA with a flat. For me personally I made sure my R1T had a full spare, but the vehicle...
  11. Disillusioned New R1T Owner

As the sales increase this has been less and less of a problem as the zealots become a smaller and smaller percentage of the owners. Even at its worse it was no where as bad as Tesla owners were back in the day.
  12. Disillusioned New R1T Owner

The irony is that if you had joined before you got the car we would have told you not to buy it. That you simply lived too far from the Service Center and simply based on the average number of service visits that would be difficult. With that being said nothing on your list seems to be an...
  13. RivianTrackr: "Stop Buying EVs for the Trip You Take Twice a Year"

I personally like the idea of an EV sports car with removal battery modules. If you're just commuting to work and back then remove most of them. If you're going on a road trip then put them all in. That way I can have fun with a fairly light vehicle most of the time with the range I'd want...
  14. R2 Rally Mode fun on track. Out of Spec: "This Is The Most Fun EV I’ve Driven"

But, does he use AI for research? I think if I was a writer I'd use AI extensively for researching ideas. But, I would not use AI at all to actually write the book. I'm currently creating a video game based on concept I thought of years ago but I didn't have the kind of capability to even...
  15. R2 Rally Mode fun on track. Out of Spec: "This Is The Most Fun EV I’ve Driven"

The wikipedia definition is digital content made with generative AI that is perceived as lacking in effort, quality or meaning. I would consider most AI creations as being slop as they are low quality, low effort junk that's easily mass produced. But, a video summary? I don't think it meets...
