I use an Emporia charger, works great on my Tesla and Rivian. My charger is a J1772 and I use an adapter for the Tesla but they have a J3400 version.
You can check out a web site called State of Charge, Tom Moloughney tests a lot of chargers and rates them.
I use the R1S frunk running errands and on trips all the time as it keeps items from prying eyes.
The R2 has strong struts and does pop open on its own. To close you just pull it down and the soft close mechanism latches it. It worked well when I saw them in Santa Monica, I think is a good...
It is really not that big a deal, it has soft-close so you just need to pull it down. Not like the two handed process required with my Model S to securely close without putting dents in the hood.
It is the extra power from the cars antenna and receiver. There are places in Yellowstone where the car will get some reception and a hand held phone will not.
Mine does that, notice it more on some roads than others, been doing since day one, has 47k on it now.
I always thought it was coming from a CV joint, mine seems to be more passenger front when I hear it.
From an effeciency standpoint point the Lucid tech is king. Hard to believe there were real world test getting to 4.4 miles per kWh with the Air. Not bad for a car the size of a Model S.
I think the R2 will surprise people in the efficiency.
I just finished a drive a few days ago ( SoCal to...
My Gen1 iPhone has worked great for me over the 3+ years I have had my R1S. Originally an iPhone 12 Pro Max and currently an iPhone 14 Pro Max. I’ve never experienced any of the things I’ve read on the forums.
Agreed and actually confirms it in that article…
Will Rivian Digital Key come to Gen 1 vehicles?
Rivian Digital Key requires a Gen 2 vehicle. On Gen 1 vehicles, features like phone key and passive entry are enabled via a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connection, and sharing vehicle access is...
Rivian does not want to be in the used car business. Almost all of what they take in is wholesaled out so they take a hit on those transaction. They are only taking the trades as a customer convenience for those not wanting to sale on their own or through other buying sources.
The only...
Crazy all the noise around AA/CP, if you need it and it doesn’t have it move on. Regardless of the strategy if it got to a point that it impacted sales they would add it. Does not seem to be the case currently for Rivian or Tesla. 🤷🏻
I think people misjudge the drag coefficient value of the Rivian designs. It really is pretty efficient.
I have not seen numbers for the R2 but looking at the R1S Rivian does a lot of work to eliminate negative pressure areas that kill the efficiency. It is more about creating a smooth flow...
Looks like order timestamp and location are primary and then current owners would be a tie breaker….. They are just not clear on the level of the time stamp, are they sequential by location or are the doing groupings by day or hour….
We will see how it plays out, I got my credit card...
