Seems like a pretty significant ramp up around September judging by the responses and my September to October email. (as expected)

It drives a little more like a truck in terms of seating position, but ride was smooth and enjoyable. It won't be as sporty as many of the crossovers that are built off sedan platforms that sit physically lower. Demo drives are limited in time though so that's only my first impression.

R2 is not readily available. Rivian is in the very early part of the production ramp up. They build up their production rate over the course of this year. Largest portion of 2026 R2 deliveries will be in Q4 of this year.

The Big Question: How many of those Day 1 reservations of the 68k actually want to convert for Launch Edition right away?

That's a 2027 problem for Rivian when they need to keep production at maximum with sustained high volume production. 2026 is limited production due to a ramp up. Why would Rivian incentivize cars in 2026 with that scenario?
