  1. Amazing customer service by RealWheelsEV

I have their running boards and there have been absolutely no issues. I went with them since they are stainless and for a period of time some of the others were having rust issues.
  2. Warranty on a used R1T

That's a nice bone for previous demo vehicles. Depending on your driving habits you may hit the mileage for the 12V and B2B before the years, but you are essentially getting a 10yr/175k warranty on the drive units/HV battery.
  3. Warranty on a used R1T

The warranty is from the original in service date, not the date you purchased used. You can chat with Rivian and get the original in service date.
  4. New to me R1T battery level and google maps

Based on the "pending" user, my guess is you can't accept until a user is added. Good thing is this would make me think the previous owner removed the vehicle from their account so no user is associated and/or Rivian is already getting the ownership transfer done in the background. My guess is...
  5. Metallic Rattle Between 45 and 55 MPH

Yeah, I have some rattles in the back I can hear with no audio. This one was a really annoying intermittent metallic rattle that could be hear on the drivers side through music. I took off the door panel and opened up areas of the dash and couldn't locate it. I finally bit the bullet and paid...
  6. Metallic Rattle Between 45 and 55 MPH

I was able to get my R1T into the Atlanta SC on 12/31 to do a tire rotation, multi-point inspection, the recommend brake flush, and to look at this rattle. The tech rode with me and it wasn't one he could pin point as a common one. He suspected it was something to do with something like a heat...
  7. Rivian software is (still) an embarrassment and needs to get better fast before R2

I agree brick wasn't the most appropriate term. If I remember correctly you could drive, but all infotainment systems were non-functional. Understandably, it left some not trusting what did and didn't work until a fix was in place. Rivian did a good job identifying the issue quickly and pushing...
  8. Check your home electrical connections, friends

Good advice for any breaker that trips out of the blue, not just your EVSE.
  9. ⚠️ Potential Safety Issue: Gen 2 All-Weather Floor Mats Causing Stuck Accelerator -- Check Yours

If you purchased the floor mats through Rivian, I would push for a return and replacement. If you purchased them through a 3rd party, I would push for a return there. If they came on a vehicle you purchased used, I would go back to the dealer to have them make it right. If they weren't...
  10. Check your home electrical connections, friends

We do the exact same thing - keep our EVSE set at 30A for overnight charging. If there is a fault or loose connection simply reducing the amperage won't save you, but reducing heat build up is always good for the longevity of conductor insulation. I tend to put a thermal camera on the breaker...
  11. Rivian software is (still) an embarrassment and needs to get better fast before R2

I was going to stay out of this discussion, but here is my take: As vehicles become more and more reliant on software, there are going to bugs and glitches, particularly when the vehicle is getting updated roughly every month. Ideally updates are well tested and issues are avoided as much as...
  12. Farewell

The Silverado/Sierra trucks are nice and would likely be my 2nd option compared to my Rivian. Hope it all works out for you!
  13. Check your home electrical connections, friends

In theory the 50A should trip before the 100A, but you could go deep in a rabbit hole on breaker coordination. I'm in the electrical field and while not common a higher amperage upstream can trip before a downstream lower amp breaker. Most facilities this isn't an major issue since it's...
  14. XCare Extended Warranty on Rivian: My Full Claim Experience (And Outcome)

Rivian Care is currently invite only in Texas. There were talks of expansion in late 2025, but obviously that has come and gone. Maybe they'll expand availability in 2026? At 49k you'll quickly get beyond the Rivian standard warranty and there is no guarantees Rivian Care will be available to...
  15. Purchasing a Pre Owned Rivian

I wouldn't worry about buying used from a 3rd party dealer. In the early days of buying used you had to get connected to the specific "guide" assigned to the VIN to get ownership transfer done. It was a bit of a pain and in some cases it took weeks to get ownership transfer so you have app...
