I think there is a misunderstanding-- those that received the 6/11 email with the August/September or October-December 2022 window did not receive an email yesterday pushing them (us) into 2023. I checked with CS yesterday to confirm and CS said that, no, the 6/11 windows are still accurate and...
R1S with June/July window—I received the email. I chatted with CS today. She said that I am “currently” still set for June/July, but they are sending out updated windows starting middle of this week. She noted that the updated window emails will go out in batches, so I may not get one this week...
That’s my guess as well.
At some point, when they are saying you are “currently” on track for a X/Y delivery, knowing that is incorrect, is going to get them in trouble with the FTC. Or maybe my law school internship there has my brain all rattled.
This is a good point that people keep missing—you are basically asking Rivian to guarantee you a 2024 model at 2022 prices. That just ain’t the way the world works, folks.
Guys, put the torches away. You can still go to the page and “configure” a T/S, it has just been renamed “visualize” and you cannot save your configuration. Still plenty of ways to play.
I spoke to CS earlier this week and was told “we” (whatever that means) would receive updated delivery windows MAYbe by the end of this week, but , if not, then definitely by the end of MAY, no ifs, ands, or buts.
Agreed! I spoke with CS two weeks ago and they told me that because I switched to FE (from OC) I would receive my R1S (3/2020 LE reservation) in the original predicted June/July window and that a guide would reach out s00n to confirm. We shall see, but I certainly ain’t putting any money on it!
I understand what you are saying here, but a lot of people on here could/can afford the increased price, but were pissed at how it was communicated. There will be plenty of demand at the increased price, and I believe the mea culpa will end up helping the brand attract more customers (especially...
Exactly this! Even a $5,000 increase. That is more than $350M! Should have taken the staggered approach.
All that said, kudos to Rivian for recognizing the value of community and not just what is written on a preorder agreement.
