Wonder how one of these would look on a R1T.
There results on the Lightning were, well, interesting.

Finally posting an update to the thermal pictures I had before, but there is basically no heat coming from under thew cowling or anywhere else on the vehicle.
Though I'd give an update. I've had my truck back for several weeks now, the phantom drain is much better than before the service.
They did replace a faulty rear module. I've calculated that the car uses about 100 watts continuous, or about 2.4 kWH per day.
This is with gear guard off...
Don't have the truck back yet, but they are reporting they fixed the issue. Also got an R1T as a loaner and have 0 phantom drain, so glad this is not a issue I'll have to live with.
Took some pictures with a thermal camera, I made sure all Bluetooth was disconnected and key fob disabled 24 hrs. before these photos. Ambient temp in garage is about 50 degrees F.
Removed plastic cover in frunk for some of the photos. It seems that the things making heat are the cameras, u.s...
Hey, O.P. here. Just wanted to make a quick update:
I tracked the battery consumption over the the last 72 hours where the truck has not moved by using the trip odometer and also watching the last session stats from the charge menu.
It has been 10kWH per 24 hour period that the truck consumes...
I have one of the higher phantom drains of reports I've read on this site, about 5 to 10 Kw h per day. Rivian support was not too helpful, telling me among other things non specific, that 10 kwH is within range. After trying everything I could think of(camp mode, transport mode, removing all...
That's interesting and good to know, yesterday I popped the cover off of the battery and found 6 or 7 different positive lugs, many of them are rated at 80 Amp or 100 Amp, so it would seem that putting a master switch in line on the battery would not guarantee a fix. Obviously there is another...
Has anyone confirmed that the vampire drain is even on the low voltage side?Lots of vehicles have master switches to disconnect the battery when vehicle is not in use. If you park inside a garage, just mount it high in the frunk and leave the lid open? I was considering chasing this problem with...
Hope
Please share with us what they find, I'm in the same boat but due to life situation am not able to drive the car the 3.5 hours to a service center. I was also told by a rep. That 10 percent loss per day is normal so I am worried the trip to service center won't produce any positive gains...
Had my dual motor for 3 weeks or so. Haven't been able to drive it much, the return trip I went from 100 percent to 23 on a 237 mile trip, 75 percent freeway where I was going 80mph. I did have ideal conditions with a 12mpg tailwind the whole way and Temps were 72 degrees so didn't need any...
This is exactly what I am experiencing 10% battery drain per day while parked, and flashing rear lights about every 2 minutes, sometimes it is a short flash and others a longer flash. No idea if the two are related.
Called Rivian Service and they say 10% phantom drain per day is normal. yeah ok...
