I see no issues with this, they arent recessed. A taycan, panamera, and e-macan are almost identical. You need no special tool to lift them or use a jack on them
I agree with OP, ive only ever used the one in fruita, but just like a gas station tap your card and roll. How it needs to be, plug and charge is fine but not having to fumble with an app is nice, and they can dispense 400kw
I wish I could transfer mine to someone who really wants one early, im not interested, im not against it i just dont need a car and for my vehicle i wanted an 800v system. The wife might use it instead thats why I haven't canceled it yet.
I went with a sierra ev denali first edition and put hummer ev 18in wheels on it. Couldn't deal with 24in stock wheels, especially when they dont make snow tires in that size at all. I want a taycan cross turismo but I can't have that and the truck.
Damn the fact that they arent an apples to apples comparison, he left out that the plug in hybrid is a turd all the way around, and a ford to boot. Ford trucks are ok, but anything else especially late model is hot garbage
I think you're right about Scout rethinking due to the reservation ratio, but they shouldn't as 80/20 is pretty much the ratio of gas to ev sales in the US, so if you give people an option of gas or pure electric thats exactly what you'd see.
For sure I work on them daily, they are the worst of both worlds. Now imagine how bad that cayenne you had as a loaner would drive if it wasnt plugged in and had to leech power from the engine to keep the HV battery from getting too low...
All the car mfgs keep saying people want hybrids-they...
I dont disagree, but if they aren't plugging then in they will be disappointed and go back to straight gas, I see it with Cayenne hybrid customers over and over again. Most dont plug them in and realize they paid more money for a car that is more complicated and performs worse.
Modern EREVs are not the way, if they were they'd already exist, BMW, Fisker, and GM already figured that out. If you tow frequently buy a diesel, if not EV is just better. Everyone wants the one size fits all solution but it doesnt exist, buy and drive what you are will to compromise with...
Did the same with a sierra ev denali. More truck for less money as well, bigger battery, faster charging, larger cabin, better frunk, no vamp drain, no constant issue being added from monthly updates, I only miss the drive cameras/recording. Another unpopular opinion is the UI in the sierra is...
