I have the standard OpenPilot harness. I've been running Sunnylink since I got my Comma 4. Today I installed the mr version of AdventurePilot. It contains additional MADS modifications. Once I've had a chance to drive on it, I'll post some feedback. I also swapped to the Darksoulsv2 model...
I agree that Rivian Assistant has made EVPlay even better. I can use EVPlay / CarPlay to put Waze on the big screen for traffic alerts, use Rivian navigation on the drivers screen, and use Rivian Assistant to do mode changes, texting, etc. Integrated CarPlay would be better, but EVPlay is good...
I have been surprised in a good way by RA so far. It's done everything I asked and even what my wife asked. It's dramatically better than Alexa ever was for me. I love being able to change ride height and modes by voice instead of having to do a bunch of touching around. The texting features...
Comma harness = steering control only. The Rivian does its own speed control. I like this quite a bit.
Xnor harness lets the Comma do lateral and longitudinal. You can always start with the Comma harness and upgrade later if you prefer everything to be done via Comma.
I’m using mine with a radar detector. It probably blocks some coverage and ma limit a bit of range since my radar detector is mounted to the rear view mirror stalk. With that said, the detector is still working. I can post a picture tomorrow.
I'm running a Comma 4 on Sunnypilot Dev. Using the Rivian longitudinal control and Comma lateral control. This seems to be the best of both worlds. I'm happy with the stock longitudinal, the display behind the steering wheel for the factory controls, and the improved...
Mine was also in an early batch and has this issue. The latest software changes didn't help. I'll have to disassemble my dash one more time to do the hardware mod. Hopefully that finally fixes it because I don't want to keep disassembling my lower dash every time it fails to work.
I'm a strong believer in "Yes and...".
The latest OS makes using EVPlay (CarPlay) 50/50 for me. SiriusXM finally works (I have a subscription but it wouldn't connect before), is relatively easy to use/stable (other than arranging favorites which fails every single time...), and sounds better...
Front bench seat in the R1T, 800 V charging with 350 kW+ max, real 400 mile range at 75 mph, Meridian or equal stereo (CarPlay would be a bonus) and I would upgrade today...
R1S also needs 2nd row bucket seats. The Scout has a lot of this, but other aspects aren't as good as my G1 R1T.
I'd love to see a replacement subwoofer. Especially if Rivian offered it in the Gear Shop and had it fully integrated with the factory OS. Imagine on-screen control of subwoofer level. Otherwise, you need to fix the factory signal and then add EQ / level control.
At this point, EVPlay makes the add-on screens a bit redundant. It works pretty well. You can flip back and forth between Rivian systems and CarPlay/AA nearly instantly. It also has built in Android with Google Play store to run native apps. I have been switching between Rivian's UI and...
