This is very reasonable advice. The problem is that neither of us are really into the Tesla and we share cars. I also bought the M3 used which makes this a bit less ridiculous.
We currently have an R1T and Tesla M3. My wife and I are both excited about the R2 but the car we really want is the R3X. Our plan has been to sell the M3 and lease an R2 while we wait. I know next to nothing about leasing a car. Does this make sense?
FWIW - We got our R1T in June of '22 and...
I don't like the overall thickness of the tailgate. It makes it awkward for bikes compared to most trucks. But if the tailgate is too heavy what are you carrying in the bed?
This is weird. Can you get it shipped to a service center?
I tried a Fox tailgate pad and the problem is how fat the tailgate is. The non-Rivian pads work and are probably better pads but just don't fit well and it causes some bikes to sit oddly on them.
I'm in Chicago and have had a G1 R1T for almost 4 years.
1) Yes. I'll probably get an R2 and definitely getting an R3
2) Can't say, there are only 2 of us.
3) When we road trip I have a bike(s) in the bed so that space is limited for luggage but we get along fine. If you are using the bed for...
Mine has done it and still does. One day it was really loud so I made an appointment at the service center. Everything checked out fine.
There are other threads about this issue.
1) Use Plugshare for information on chargers. It is probably the only subscription I don't mind paying for.
2) It will get easier over time.
3) Sometimes the software planning is just weird. Even when it isn't bad it will leave me scratching my head. Don't be afraid to make changes. There have...
I can totally see uses for it but maybe not for $1600. First thing that comes to mind is if you have something mounted over the bed and want access to gear in the back. No need to take everything else out.
